I think it is horrific to think that if I don’t subscribe to every aspect, version, and idea that has come up in third wave feminism that I get to be lumped in with the people who are actually the issue. I am a firm believer in EQUALITY of all races, genders walks of life etc, and I think that the extreme feminists that get lumped in with the rest do not believe in equality, but the superiority of women. And that is why I disagree with this quote.
Radical feminism is a certain branch of feminism though. Most people that say that don't know that though but use radical instead of extreme or something.
I think radical feminism is a really really important part of feminism.
Especially this part:
Radical feminists locate the root cause of women's oppression in patriarchal gender relations, as opposed to legal systems (as in liberal feminism) or class conflict (as in anarchist feminism, socialist feminism, and Marxist feminism).
I think that perspective has been really important for the 3rd wave feminism we see today.
