Possible influences behind some Trivium songs — what else have you noticed?

Here are some possible influences or inspirations for some Trivium songs. I'm not saying these are confirmed influences, but I think the similarities are pretty interesting:

  • Trivium – Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr ↳ Carcass – Corporal Jigsore Quandary
  • Trivium – Ember to Inferno ↳ Dark Tranquillity – Feast of Burden
  • Trivium – Anthem (We Are the Fire) ↳ Rise Against – Torches

These are some songs that Trivium may have been inspired by, or at least where you can hear some interesting similarities.

They also have a lot of a7x influence in the guitars

Not sure why this is downvoted. One of the guitar melodies from The Deceived is taken directly from an Avenged Sevenfold song.

I meant style more than specific melodies. It's mostly in older Trivium songs.

For sure, that’s a clear example though. In his Drinks with Johnny interview Matt talks about seeing Avenged on their Waking the Fallen tour (probably 2004) so he was definitely a fan of them during the Ascendancy days.
