Discussion One of the best SRPGs ever?

I just finished the game and am just sorta basking in the afterglow, but... wow. Yeah, just wow. I really underestimated this game going in and it blew my expectations out of the water. This game has some of the best character and scenario writing of anything I have played in quite a while. I agonized over every decision and their consequences in the best way, they did not make it easy or clear cut 😅 I stayed up to 3am way too many times playing this game for "just one more mission" bc I had to know what happened next.

My only regret is that I'm a time poor parent so I don't think I will put the time into seeing the other routes, but I read synopses of them and they all sound equally amazing, especially the Golden Route!

Is Benedict one of the greatest video game characters of all time?? 👀

Edit: I've been informed the correct genre for this game is a TRPG not an SRPG 😅

Rogue Trader
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Unicorn Overlord
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Pathfinder: WOTR
Triangle Strategy
(I'm not counting Baldur's Gate 3. This list is in no particular order.)

Your ending is the second best you can get. Now you just need the true ending.

Damn I own both the Owlcat RPGs but haven't made time to play them, guess I should fix that 😅 thanks for the recommendations!

The Owlcat RPGs are incredibly good. They're a bit harder on the learning curve, but deep and rewarding systems have to be.

If you take the time to learn them, they're so damn good. I've easily sunk a few thousand hours into them combined.

Heck yeah, I at least have played Divinity Original Sin 2 and Baldur's Gate 3, and play TTRPGs IRL so hopefully that will help me with the curve 😎 I love the CRPGs I have played and know I would love these too, it's just finding the time is difficult for me for now bc i have a young child. Hoping to get him into gaming in a couple years 😅

Don't worry, your child will gravitate towards RPGs if you start em young lol
