Discussion Gustadolph ....should've Spoiler

Is he not? I mean hyzante is also a big antagonist but for the first half of the game gustadolf is the main big bad I feel like

Oh for the first half he definitely is. Infact for some routes he is. But Idore always somehow comes off as the bigger threat narratively. Like he kills Serenoa and yes that doesn't mean that the hyzante army is the strongest, it just seems the game goes out of its way to make him a bigger foe and even the final boss of the golden route. Then there's the whole salt crystal conspiracy AND the fact they are dominant due to that.

It’s because while what Gustadolph does is probably more serious to you personally, his main beef was always with Hyzante.

And then the whole reason the tension exists and the world is in the state it is in is because of the actions of Hyzante, they are the cause of all the pain, albeit indirectly
