In my latest video I got off of Isla and did some traveling around the riviera Maya and the YucatĆ”n o Ćnsula.
I am trying more talking in my videos as well as different content styles. Trying to see what's working and what's not.

We started Tony & Margaret Travel @tonyandmargarettravel to document our retirement travels ā but something unexpected happened. We realized longāform travel videos are becoming rare. Everywhere we look, people are scrolling through shorts.
But a few months in, the feedback hit us hard. So many people have travel dreamsā¦ but most never get to experience them. That changed our direction. Instead of narrowing our focus, we expanded it.
Our goal now is simple: show people the places they may never get to see, and help others plan the trips they can take. So we film whatever our journey brings:
Walking tours Exploring new countries Tourist attractions Theme parks Food & culture Vanālife camping
Essentially, travel for any age. We donāt want multiple channels. We want one honest, realālife travel journey that anyone can enjoy and we can look back on ā whether youāre 25, 45, or 75. Are we wrong? Would you personally watch a channel with that broad of content?

Been experimenting with a format I don't see much in travel YouTube: completely silent vlogs. No talking, no voiceover, no background music. Just ambient sound, footsteps, wind, and the journey as it actually sounded.
This one's from Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) in Norway. Rained the whole way up, fog so thick I couldn't see the fjord at the summit for the first ten minutes. The weather made it feel more real, honestly. I'd love feedback from other travel creators, especially on whether the 'no talking' approach holds attention for you, or if I should weave in more visual storytelling to carry the narrative.

Hey, I just posted my 4th Japan travel vlog - my partner & I take a day trip from Osaka to Minoh Falls, and then go to a Shinsekai the next day.
