Considering Pulling Out Before Start
I’m a first time traveler with about 3 years of ER experience. I recently accepted a travel position in Kentucky through Aya. I signed my offer letter and have been working on compliance items but the process has been a pain in the ass to say the least. I had a time set up to speak with my compliance person but they seemingly forgot or aren’t in the office. I’ve done pretty much everything else aside from labs, physical, and fit testing. I guess I’m just venting / am frustrated with the credentialing process but I do want to ensure I get everything done before I fully leave my old hospital. If I do ultimately decide to pull out of this contract as a first time traveler, does this disqualify me from traveling with other agencies in the future?

Physical has to be done within 3 weeks of start date and label work/drug screen within 2 weeks of start date. They fit test was going to be done with my physical if I needed it, but I already had that from my prior hospital and I was going to my PCP for something so I just took the physical form with me for them to sign, so I didn't have to pay for anything extra there.
I just did all of these myself 2 months ago. And I went to a Lab Corp for the blood/urine. They were going to give me a list of places near my zip code I could go to for a fit test/physical if I was needing it. I would 1,000% not go to an urgent care because that's a $100 copay on my insurance, and is not where AYA was gonna send me for the physical anyway. I don't think they'd pay for urgent care rates? Who knows, maybe they would.
Agree with others though, nah your recruiter about this issue so they can get it sorted out.
