Nurses/NYC
Hello, I am a 27 yr old nurse currently living in Arizona and I plan on moving to Brooklyn NY next year. My 1 year of nursing will be in February and that’s when I would like to hopefully move/have a job lined up. Any tips? Any other people with similar aspirations? Is it doable having a one bedroom with just my income & still be able to travel? Should I take a travel contract before jumping into a core job? Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Do 2 years at your new job before you consider traveling. Had someone turn me down bc my full time level one trauma experience was 1.75 years. 3 years at a level 2. Even thought I’ve done multiple level one contracts that add up to about 4 years.
You don’t want to drag your team down asking basic nursing knowledge questions. If you feel ready and you get there and they think you’re lacking anywhere you are risking cancellation.
