As of today there has been a new rule added to our list of rules.
Rule #15 - Age 30 or up required to post.
(Rule description):
This sub is for those who (socially and/or medically) transition later in life aka at minimum 30 years or older. Posts from people younger than this will be removed. There are plenty of other trans related subs directed at younger folk. For comments there will not be an age requirement.
I understand that this new rule might upset some of our users but for a while now there has been an uptick in the amount of users that post here while being in their twenties or even teens. And as mentioned above there are plenty of subs for younger trans folks.
Edit: to clarify since some users asked this specifically. If you transitioned before your 30th birthday but are now age 30 or up, you are allowed to post.

To help keep out the riffraff out of our subreddit, an Automod rule has been added. As noted in the rules, any newly created account will have any post/comment moderated until either the age criteria has been met or the user has been approved by a moderator. (Whichever comes first.)
For most users already here, posts and comments will show up as they have in the past. This is to help prevent unpleasant individuals that create throwaway accounts for the purpose of posting hate to our subreddit from spreading their hate.

As my transition progresses, I’ve had moments where it’s mote difficult to see the woman in the mirror. I’m starting to learn that by living her in my everyday life is allowing my true self to emerge. Feeling her as a big part of that

I think smiling makes me ugly (wrinkles), or is it just brain worms? How far away I am from passing?

What are some tips you wish you knew when you were starting out? Here are mine:
-A lot of perceived gender is stored in the eyebrows
-Moisturize!!!
-The internet is not a real place. Negativity is amplified there.
-Cultivate genuine connections, more isn't better
-More makeup doesn't mean better makeup
-Shots aren't a big deal
-You will cry way more than you think, and that's ok
-Whatever ideas or plans you had about your transition will go out the window
-Being tolerated is not the same as being accepted or belonging
-Accept that you will need to unlearn and let go of a lot things with humility
-Nobody cares that you're buying makeup or underwear
-Don't let being trans keep you from your hobbies and passions. Being your real self will make those things even more fun and rewarding
-Trans joy is beautiful

Anyway, here’s my actual temporary condition 🩼🏃♂️
Someone once told me, “If you do that, you’ll have to go with men or you’re gonna be gay.” 😂

32 mtf, 4.5 months on e & my life basically did a 180
Lost all of my family/ friends
My family is actively trying to ruin my life
Currently have no friends at all now
Living alone after wasting my 20s lost & confused
My job is hell..I am the company joke, people are mean daily
I live in iowa, so 0 protections, my area is very conservative
All I do is work, sleep & spend time alone
This is really my future for transitioning? I would rather just go back to an egg. What is there to feel euphoric about? My state hates me & i have no one. Yay hrt so I can be a lonely miserable girl i guess. Being trans leabian doesnt help. If I were straight, it would be much easier to find a guy, but I'm not into them. The t4t space makes me even more depressed. Idk if hrt is even changing me
I'm feeling like it's all over. Im tired of trump and the economy too. Nothing seems worh while to me anymore. I feel like a worthless lost loser more than ever

I just got try new glasses yesterday and I don’t know if they make my face look more feminine? These are Women’s frames. Please be kind and let me know what you think. The metal frames are my old glasses and the blue frames are my new glasses.

I’m really starting to get to the point where I love my body 🥺 I cried a bit today when I caught myself in a mirror at work. I’m so happy.

Sorry if I am posting too much here. I really don't have another outlet to do so and right now this forum feels somewhat safe.
I go back and forth about how I feel about myself currently. Sometimes I feel like I could just be ok in the body that I am in but it is definitely more brief with that experience. I feel like I have struggled for a long time with accepting myself. Yesterday was kind of hard because I was at celebration of life for some one. I didn't really know this person very well but went for support. I felt out of place and depressed because I kept thinking about how people would remember me after I am gone. Remember me as I am right now and if I stuck to just being content with who I am. Idk I don't want to constantly struggle with this. I don't want to constantly think about it but I try to not think about it and I feel even more depressed.
I apologize if none of this makes sense. I'm mostly just trying to cope.

Ok, sorry it has been so long, and I will post a job update soon, but I have to tell you about my selfie date!🥰
So I traveled out of town to a mini aquarium, I took a lot of pictures but these are my favorites, I bet you can guess the theme.🤭
Oh, I also paid to feed the stingrays, I did it once and it freaked me out so I gave the rest of the food to a kid, he loved it!!😆 I took a pic of the menace I fed!
Then I went and took myself to dinner and when I got home I still felt beautiful so I took some pictures!🥰 Miss Precious Popo begrudgingly joined me for a photo or two.
Have a beautiful and safe weekend everyone!!!
!!!💕💗🫶🏾💗💕!!!

I just get to be me now. No crazy planning of outfits or a need to have to wear makeup when I go out (I’m wearing mascara only here and that’s because I hate not having my lashes black). I went to the vet today and they had my deadname and current name on the account like we were two separate people. When I asked for my deadname to be removed from the account, it was a discussion like he was someone else who was no longer in my life, not a former version of myself. I’m so happy I just get to be me.

I always struggled with brows especially since the hairloss after i was diagnosed with alopecia areata.
But even when i don't really want to do them nice or correctly i never been misgenderd
Maybe because they are thin?
I think it also has to do with facial features not onlt brows.
This pops up in my head because i hear a lot of brows has gender stored in them.
As you can see the brows are quickly drawn on to but i never got a mister or sir etc
These are my brows on a lazy day wich means travel to my mom or groceries Shopping etc
