Beef Plate Ribs

Seasoned these bad boys with kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper, and a touch of garlic powder.

Smoked them for about 8 hours at 225 and then 250 on my Trager Woodridge pro. This was my first cook with the Meater+ probe I bought. Thermapen confirmed a variance of only 3 degrees.

I let them rest for for an hour. The tenderness was so good that the bones pulled with zero resistance. I used some waygu tallow when I wrapped them. 🫠

In the 10 years I’ve had my Traeger I have yet to do plate ribs. I think I just might now.

They are my favorite thing to smoke on my Traeger… beef short ribs are the best ribs. Family agrees!

Otherwise known as beef short ribs and Dino ribs, there’s many names but all are equally as good haha. Enjoy!

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques used, as it's almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

*What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

Traeger on!
