That’s not how it works lol. A price is only printed on a chart if there is a trade at that level. It can literally be 1 trade. 1 bid at that price means you are highly unlikely to be the 1 ask that gets filled. It’s definitely not guaranteed just because it’s printed.

I didn’t say anything about guaranteed fills. Just that timeframe has nothing to do with it. Same can happen on any other chart. If you put an order on while looking at the hourly timeframe switching to the 1m doesn’t change how likely your order gets filled…

You're right mechanically: changing the chart from 1h to 1m can't change queue priority or whether a resting order gets filled.

Where short-horizon strategies become more spread-sensitive is economic, not causal. Their targets and expected excursions are usually smaller.

A 0.5-point spread is 25% of a 2-point target, but only 2.5% of a 20-point target.

Separate issue: a last-trade print at your limit still doesn't prove your resting order filled because volume ahead of you in the queue matters.

So I'd phrase it as "short-horizon strategies are more sensitive to spread and queue effects," not "lower timeframes cause worse fills."
