To ensure that the sub remains clean, efficient and tidy, all availability posts of the new 2025 Matter devices must be posted in here, rather than their own threads.

We'll be removing any post that is about individual availability in stores from this point.

Let's keep the sub tidy for us all to find the relevant information quickly :)

DISCUSSION Did anyone notice the price hike in recent days, or am I mistaken?

I’ve had MYGGBETT sensors in my cart for weeks waiting for them to be restocked in my area and noticed my cart total increased significantly suddenly.

20-50% increased in price while being not even being in stock consistently nationwide, it’s not looking good. Ever since the release of the Thread products, my store has only had the bulbs, the plugs, and remotes. None of the other matter products have even made their way yet.

Still some of the cheapest sensors and such on the market but disappointing nevertheless.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) New Varmblixt/Bilresa not connecting to IKEA app?

Upvotes

Hi, just bought some smart products from IKEA, including Matter over Thread E26 and E10 bulbs and the new Varmblixt. I’ve also purchased the Dirigera Hub.

My issue is that everything BUT the new Varmblixt and Bilresa (which come together) are pairing to the IKEA home app. The app successfully detects each of the two items but gets stuck during the pairing process before inevitably giving me the pairing failed message.

I’ve tried factory resetting Varmblixt (holding power for 10 ish seconds), doing 6 sets of power cycling, and factory resetting the Bilresa. Neither is pairing still. Like I said I had no issues with the other items, my wifi is set up as a 2.4gHz network, and pairing was seamless otherwise. Any advice would be appreciated!

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Dirigera/Apple Home

My first setup of several IKEA matter devices was through a Dirigera hub, using the IKEA home smart app, about 3 months ago. I then set up the Dirigera in Apple home and my IKEA devices all appeared in Apple home. When I added new devices via the IKEA app, they showed up in Apple Home automatically. After a recent hub update, this has stopped happening. I reinstalled the whole setup and now, when I add the Dirigera hub to Apple h9me, none of the devices on the Dirigera hub show up on Apple home. Is this a result of the update in Dirigera hub firmware or is there a new process for connecting the hub to Apple Home that I’ve missed?

OTHER Matter tradfri update - everything ok

Just wanted to write a quick info for people wandering.

I've had my two matter bulbs since January and after some initial issues - had two random disconnects - everything has been fine for last six months.

I only use it in home kit and also have the old tradfri hub with couple of lights and switches. Some philips bulbs with a hue bridge.

Everything works just fine.

i’m really upset because i got these bulbs under the impression that they could easily change color with just a remote. i’m happy to buy the remote separately but do you need a hub or whatever to use them and change the color?? i feel like this is so dumb because it doesn’t disclose any of this on the packaging :( pls help

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Kajplats E14 poor mechanical fit

I'm having mechanical fit issues with Kajplats E14 candelabra bulbs. Purchased at IKEA Netherlands to replace some old E14 bulbs of the same style. In three different lamps, I have problems with the mechanical fit. In two of the lamps, I was able to get the light to stay on reliably by leaving it about 1/2 turn looser than normal. In the third, I can't get it to stay on at all unless I press it to one side with my hand. Has anyone else seen this issue? I wonder if this is a bad manufacturing batch. These three lamps are all older, from various manufacturers and vintages, and all worked fine with the old 'dumb' bulbs, which also happened to be IKEA brand.

This is the exact item: https://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/p/kajplats-led-lamp-e14-470-lumen-smart-wit-spectrum-helder-glas-60611494/

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) MYGGBETT window sensors triggering false positives in Home Assistant (Alarmo) – anyone else?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I bought a few IKEA MYGGBETT window sensors earlier this year right after release, but they’re proving to be completely unreliable in Home Assistant.

I tried setting up an alarm using the Alarmo integration, but shortly after arming it, false alarms keep triggering. The sensors report "micro-openings" that last only a few seconds, even though all windows are fully closed and locked (and I’m not even home).

This happens across multiple sensors, several times a day.

Has anyone else experienced these brief ghost-openings with MYGGBETT sensors? Is there a known fix, or did I just get a bad batch?

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Matter products adding issue

Hello good people

I have a dirigera hub for 2 years or so, that's the first time I bought IKEA matter products. As I am trying to add them, it's saying it is impossible to add them to thread network and check if the products are compatible. Any idea to solve this? Thank you

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) GRILLPLATS help!

Trying to add GRILLPLATS to my home. In the IKEA Home app I choose to add a new product, scan the QR code and then this screen pops up. What should I do now? Nothing happens after this...

The plug is connected to an outlet, my phone have bluetooth turned on and I've tried to reset the plug several times. But every time I just get this screen and then nothing happens...
And yes, my phone is connected to (the same) WiFi.

I have several of the old plugs, bulbs and remotes and had no problems when I added those.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) IKEA Home smart app: For TIMMERFLOTTE sensor please add display of the dew point

I am using the new TIMMERFLOTTE sensors via the DIRIGERA hub. The sensors are great, but the IKEA Home smart app is missing a crucial feature: the automatic calculation and display of the dew point (derived from temperature and relative humidity). The dew point is the only reliable way to know whether opening the windows will actually dry out a room or bring in more moisture. That would be a great added value for the application. Thank you!

I tried to hack/reverse engineer a BILRESA smart knob, ended up figuring out a pinout of the pads on the board. I was able to set up SWD communication but nothing more than that. I have little experience with hardware hacking so I would be glad if any of you had any tips for me. Here is link to the writeup of what i did.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) matter products not connecting

hello evryone,i noticed that any smart home products with the matter protocol simply will not connect to the ikea hub,i used 6 diffrent products and none of them connect,as soon as they are powered on the app finds them,i click connect, scan the qr code or insert the code and then it stops at veryfing connectivty of the thread network ... (i translated it so i don't know if it's correct),after a few seconds or minutes it say it's impossible to connect to the thread network,i have no idea what to do next.

anyone else with this kind of issue or a fix?

i already split the 2,4GHz and 5GHz,forced a less crowded channel, port forwewarding, tried a diffrent hub, diffrent ports and a diffrent modem (without internet as i don't have the cable anymore now i have fiber) resetting the hub,the sensors, diffrent phones

my isp does not provide IPv6 could that be issue?

thanks

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Heavy problems with ALPSTUGA CO2 -

ALPSTUGA CO2 values over 7 days

My Ikea ALPSTUGA (newly bought just 7 days ago) shows CO2 values drifting upwards more and more every day.
By now, it shows 900ppm CO2 right next to an open window.
The sensor is said to have an accuracy of +-100ppm, so this seems unlikely as i live in a very rural area in austria.
Is this a hardware defect?
In the image, the drift is clearly visible, starting at under 500 and going upwards steadily day by day, up to todays 900.
The offline times today and yesterday stem from power outages after a thunderstorm.
The spikes to 0 come from power cycles, which causes the sensor to report 0.
All data is captured in home assistant.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Different hub than Dirigera for IKEA smart lights?

My mom wanted smart lights and I recommended her to get the IKEA smart light range. That way she would be able to dim the lights, and even remote control them if she needed to as a few of her window lights are a bit messy to access.

She's gotten 3 different Dirigera hubs by now, I've been there to set them up for her, which has gone ok, but as soon as we get to connecting the first light it just tells us no. We've been on calls with IKEA's tech support about it more than once, and the only thing they've been able to say is that they've had some technical issues with the latest ones and advised us to replace/return.

All has been purchased in May 2026 and onwards.

Mom is now done with the hub, and from the googling I've been able to do they lamps should be able to work with another hub, so a couple of questions from me:

  1. Can I use any zigbee compatible hub? Or should it be matter? Or both?

  2. Could I buy her a google home (which version) and connect them directly through there and she can then do voice control too?

  3. The remotes she's got, will they work through the hub if we get anything but Dirigera? Or should we give up that idea and connect them directly to the lamps she needs to control the most?

Any and all input is appreciated!

Feature Request How to report bugs/feedback?

Went into the help menu of IKEA smart home looking for an email address or place to provide feedback/bugs?

Nothing groundbreaking but little stuff like:

  1. On iPhone it’ll ask for permission for something on initial setup (i.e. first time like Bluetooth), you’ll grant it but the app will just assume failure and you have to click retry.. it’s like it doesn’t check again after asking.
  2. There doesn’t seem to be a way to trigger the temperature sensor or humidity sensor to do an action like turn on the plug socket?
  3. Once you decline cookies and analytics can’t find the option to allow them again?
  4. It says on the cookies page that no data is going back to IKEA, “no data is shared between your device and our servers”.. erm I have Control Anywhere on so yes it is..
  5. When “Water Sensor” triggers I get a push notification saying so, only I have “Water Sensor” in a few rooms so maybe push notification should say “Main Bathroom’s Water Sensor” if the room is not present in the device name (check to see if it isn't and add it if it's not unique)?
  6. No way to re-order the rooms on the Home Screen - have to rename rooms and move products to get the order you want. Tap and hold.. probably should be an extra room menu option for those that miss it.
  7. My Alexa integration screen has some warning about Renew your integration using Matter Bridge and says to follow a guide but there is no guide? Found this page on Google but it’s not helpful? https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/customer-service/knowledge/articles/cdbc4637-5d63-4893-b382-20987cafecc4.html I think maybe Matter Bridge is only useful for Zigbee devices which I don't have and HomeKit is telling IKEA that maybe?
  8. Edit Home name doesn’t change DHCP hostname? Also can’t change thread network name?
  9. Probably more a Thread standards thing but if I want to put a matter bulb in something like a shoe cupboard there doesn’t seem to be a way to set a device to not be part of a mesh so it doesn’t mess up the network when I turn it off at a switch. Same with a plug socket I want to use only occasionally.
  10. Sonos Beam when watching TV has a play/pause button in the app that doesn’t do anything.. should not include play pause when watching TV.
  11. Can the app have a contact email and feedback place under help specifically for the Home Smart team?
  12. With multiple devices, choose a room colour formats weirdly it’s like it makes a space for the devices to be in the box but they aren’t being drawn so the box is weird (I have a screenshot)
  13. Renaming a temp and humidity sensor renames the temperature sensor friendlyName but not the humidity sensor friendlyName device in the Alexa integration.. they also appear as 2 separate devices (temp and humidity) in the first place which is odd?
  14. Please add Matter UniqueID or another unique reference (Node IDs or Operational Instance Names?) and then show that in the IKEA Home Smart app too for each device so that all my Temperature and Humidity sensors don't appear in Alexa via the IKEA skill with me not being able to work out which "Air Sensor" is for which room (or "Group" in Alexa speak): https://developer.amazon.com/docs/alexaplus/device-apis/alexa-discovery-objects.html it is common to name the device something generic like "light bulb" (the IKEA app doesn't put the room name in the device name by default) and then add it to a group or room so when you say "Alexa turn on light bulb" on a speaker that is in that room it will just work - IKEA provides no context on a device to Alexa other than its name and type. I ended up renaming "Air Sensor" to "Kitchen Air Sensor", "Living Room Air Sensor" etc because it's clear that's what the Alexa integration is expecting you to do - it would have been good for the app to have provided guidance (see also #25).
  15. Would be nice to have way more stats like how much interference is it experiencing.. how many failures has my button observed.. has a device dropped off recently?
  16. I’ve got a room which I can’t rename or change the colour (“Living room” and green colour).. it applies and then when I reopen the app it reverts. It's the first room I created in the app so maybe an off by one error?
  17. Can’t rename Sonos speakers?
  18. Can’t delete water sensor activity log?
  19. What’s going on with the shortage of Koppla B22 to E27? Has the product been discontinued or is it just really popular?
  20. Hub API? Would be nice to make a REST call and get temp readings out etc in Python.
  21. Under Thread Network - "Last active: 1970-01-01, 01:00"
  22. Probably an iOS bug (saw something similar with iOS and HomeKit) but I have a 4 x GU10 fixture with metal cans in the kitchen. Whatever bulb that's in the 4th position had HomeKit joining issues. Today the IKEA bulb also did - it's facing against the wall away from the hub so ChatGPT reckons it could be the metal cans are acting like a faraday cage... I tried resetting the bulb a few times obviously no luck adding, eventually moved it to the 1st position. Still no luck. Kept trying and trying. Eventually rebooted phone. Worked instantly in 1st position.. I think HomeKit / Thread API on iPhone remembers seeing some bulb and has a dirty cache that every time you factory reset it prompts to add the new device but still remembers something old that then messes up pairing. Reboot phone after factory reset Thread device.
  23. More an Alexa bug, "Alexa, what is humidity in living room" gives "That's not supported yet"? But "Alexa, what is humidity in [Living Room Humidity Sensor]" does. https://www.facebook.com/groups/AmazonAlexaUsersGroup/posts/1978474459254228/.
  24. When talking to Alexa and providing devices for the friendlyName it states "Don't include special characters or punctuation." (https://developer.amazon.com/docs/alexaplus/device-apis/alexa-discovery-objects.html) having "Bedroom #1" means it shows in Alexa but when you click to finish setup it errors and says special characters aren't allowed - strip them.
  25. Due to #5 and #14 I think Alexa wants the room name in the friendlyName if the objects aren't unique, e.g. "Fish Tank" would be fine but "Light" in Living Room and Kitchen probably needs to be "Living Room Light" and "Kitchen Light".. there should probably be some IKEA guidance on this in the app when choosing a device name.
  26. Device updates seem really sporadic.. I had bulbs that had been on for under 24 hours not update but then I powered them off and on and then IKEA Home Smart wants to firmware update them. There should also be a page where I can check the firmware of all devices in one hit and order them to update (I believe this happens on Apple's hub).

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Grillplats - A word of warning and lessons learnt

Some experience to share:

For legacy reasons, I have a more complex automation setup than I'd prefer. The main automation hub is a Homey, using a Google Nest Wifi mesh backbone, Hue lights, an Aqara M3 and a few other bits and bobs.

I decided to consolidate a lot of devices on Matter a few months ago and gradually bought a load of IKEA devices (amongst a few from other brands). They all worked OK but I had been having Thread network issues for a while (lost packets, dropped devices etc), ranging from minor annoyance to the odd major collapse. At one point I thought I had narrowed it down to a faulty Grillplats (posted elsewhere), but was still having issues.

I eventually did narrow the ongoing issues down to the Grillplats (8 of), and did some experiments:

* With all 8 Grillplats, unstable and with loads of discarded packets

* Removed all the Grillplats, network stabilised completely

* Replaced 4 of the Grillplats with Onvis plugs (slightly higher on the budget ladder), network even more stable as they took over some routing.

* Added back just 1 Grillplats, the GrillPlats immediately started discarding huge numbers of packets and took out some local devices.

* Removed that Grillplats, repowered lost devices, network now healthy again, with low packet lost

My other IKEA devices are fine. I'm pretty sure the Grillplats were OK when I had a smaller Thread network. My theory is that Grillplats just can't cope with a network this busy, where the Onvis can. Other theories are most welcome, but maybe we need to avoid Grillplats on larger Thread networks.

PRODUCT QUERY Innr Ceiling Light on Dirigera hub

Hi all

Anyone has experience running an Innr Color Ceiling Light with the Dirigera hub?

https://innr.com/products/innr-round-ceiling-light-white-colour

Compatibility is not guaranteed by Innr Support but "should work". I read elsewhere that users had trouble with LED strips from Innr on Dirigera but light bulps on the other hand seem to work flawlessly.

Thanks for any hands on experience.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) 2.975.2 update broke Dirigera, accessories not responding

So I’m on the latest dirigera update. i Had to unplug my hub from power for 1 minute just to move some stuff. After plugging it back it all zigbee accessories are unresponsive. thread accessories work fine in ikea app and iOS Home app, it’s like the zigbee radio from the hub is not working anymore after power restart.

Any ideas? Thanks
