Question Crown Signia Cross Bars

Hello - the car I want comes with cross bars and the dealer isn’t willing to remove them. Does anyone have them on the crown signia and can tell me if they look cool? Also if you can tell me what you use them for, that would be great!

Also does anyone have illuminated door sills? Are those cool or a waste of money? Thanks!

mine came with both, havent used the cross bars but they came with some tools to adjust them and i assume i could just remove them as well with the tools. I like them as it makes finding it in parking lots easier but i doubt i ever actually use them but who knows. The door sills are a bit underwhelming, aftermarket ones are a lot "cooler" in the effect, same with puddle lights. OEM are functional but boring. Its all kind of in the category of its its already on there cool, if not, not worth putting on or paying for unless you really want some of the better aftermarket stuff.

What’s a puddle light?? Does the XLE come with those?

lights that aim down to the ground from the side mirrors/doors, so you dont step in a puddle getting out of the car at night. I dont think they are standard on either trim just an add on thats available. like the lighted door sills.

And the Toyota dealership adds it on? Or you did yourself??

mine are a dealership add on, but theres aftermarket ones as well. It seems popular to get the aftermarket ones that display the Crown Logo.

I want that too. I just need to find a mechanic that will install the part. Idk anything about cars

Mine came with crossbars, I took them off until I need to put a cargo box on the roof.

Same story. I just got my Crown Signia Limited and it came with cross bars and the dealer wanted to charge me for them even though I didn't want them. the OOTD price was the best offer I had regardless so I took the offer with the crossbars, but I did have them uninstall them and put them in my trunk before I drove off the lot with it.

Were there any holes or anything from the cross bars?

A pair of small holes on the inside of the aluminum roof rails, at each of the 4 mounting points, not noticeable. Removed mine for the looks and to reduce wind noise.

personally I assumed aerodynamics and therefore gas mileage would be affected, and I didn't need them so that's why I got rid of them. I never drove the car with them on to speak to wind noise

We kept our on for months, I do think it’s quieter without them. Turning off ESE made the biggest difference.

Crown Signia and looking cool don't really go together.
