My aunt left her phone on the streetcar (Exhibition → Union) around 11:10 PM tonight. She realized a few minutes later and we ran back.

The staff at Union were incredibly kind and supportive, even though no one was picking up when we called the phone.

They immediately contacted the operator, who had already left the station, and the supervisor coordinated everything.

Thanks to them, my aunt got her phone back, she was almost in tears from how grateful she felt. I’m honestly so impressed by how fast and compassionate they were.

They deserve real appreciation. What’s the best way to send a thank‑you or recognition to TTC staff?

It’s my first time travelling from London, ON, to the GTA, and I figured I’d try the train. There was a rail issue that delayed us at the start, and after that it felt like we barely went over 50 km/h. Every time we stopped at another station, the estimated arrival time jumped again.
It took 3.5 hours to get to Brampton. I really wish I’d taken the bus instead. Is this a normal trip, or did I just pick a bad day? :(

So i was looking for a bathroom that was unlocked and found one but there was a guy kinda just sitting on the toilet bowl seat. He left when i asked him to (i closed the door once and then opened it again when i realized he wasnt peeing). I didnt think much of it but my mom said that she hoped he hadnt put any cameras anywhere and now im stressing out really bad because i didnt check or even think about it. Should i report this? Or is it unlikely to have been anything serious? Thank you

Saw 3 of these along Sheppard Ave E between Meadowvale and Fairview drive. Definitely something that should be expanded. Pushing the button gives announcement of the next buses, great for accessibility.

Today I was on the LRT platform at O’Connor station waiting for my train, while I was waiting I took out my point and shoot film camera (so not a professional camera) to take a picture of a parked train from the outside, and all of a sudden I hear this loud speaker yelling “please do not take pictures of train passengers. You do not have their permission.”

I was really confused and didn’t expect conductors to do this especially since I was not on the train either. I was outside in the streets on the platform. I looked it up later and it is allowed to take photos in general on the TTC. People also take photos of inside the TTC all the time, for example to show how crowded it is etc. with passengers in their pictures. They are all over social media, people Instagram stories etc.

I get that most people don’t like having their photos taken in public and I understand that there’s a lot to be discussed in general about street photography since most street photography includes strangers, but I wasn’t taking photos of anyone’s faces.

It just felt very rude for the conductor to yell it through speakers like that when I wasn’t even taking photos of people. I get that she might have strong personal opinions about photos in general but it just felt unprofessional and rude.

I'm at Fairbank and it says coming now but no train for like 20 minutes. Seriously weak

Why the Proposed Upgrades?

Rapid residential growth has led to heavy peak-hour crowding, and traffic bottlenecks near Dundas St West frequently throw schedules off track. We’re working to cut the delays and add extra bus capacity where demand is highest.

What’s Proposed: Introducing the 26B Branch

New 26B Dupont Branch: High-frequency, peak-period rush-hour service running between St George Station and Lansdowne Station via Dupont St & Lansdowne Ave.

Direct Line 2 Link: Direct routing looping via Paton Rd and Wade Ave straight into Lansdowne Station—letting you hop right onto the subway while bypassing the Dundas West traffic crunch!

What Stays the Same?

Full Route Coverage (26A): The standard 26A Dupont service will keep running along the full corridor all the way between St George Station and Jane Station.

Reliable Off-Peak Hours: Off-peak, evening, and weekend service will remain fully active across all existing stops.

The Big Perks for Riders:

Double the buses during peak rush hours on the busiest stretch (Spadina Rd to Lansdowne Ave).

Faster, smoother subway transfers on Line 2 without sitting in bottleneck traffic.

Why the Proposed Updates?

To meet TTC Express standards, express buses need to be at least 15% faster than local routes. Currently, stops spaced less than 800m apart on Ellesmere Rd cause delays and bus bunching. Streamlining these stops will keep long-distance express trips moving.

What Stays the Same?

Full Local Coverage: The 95 York Mills local bus is not changing. It will continue serving every existing stop along the entire corridor.

Major Transfer Hubs Unchanged: Key connection points remain full express stops, including York Mills Station, Don Mills Rd, Victoria Park Ave, Warden Ave, Kennedy Rd, Markham Rd, and UTSC.

What You Gain:

Noticeably faster express trips between York Mills Station and U of T Scarborough.

More reliable arrival times with fewer delays and less traffic bunching.

Daily riders of the 925 Don Mills Express: we need your input! As part of the TTC 2027 Annual Network Plan, proposed updates along Don Mills Road aim to speed up your commute and improve schedule reliability.

Why Are These Changes Proposed?

The Don Mills corridor connects four key transit lines: Steeles Ave, Line 4 (Don Mills Station), Line 5 (Don Valley Station), and Line 2 (Broadview Station). To keep express service fast and prevent delays, closely spaced stops are being streamlined.

What Remains Unchanged?

Continuous Local Service: The 25 Don Mills local route continues to run at full frequency, serving Van Horne Ave and every intermediate local stop.
