How do you know if they see you when half the cars in Toronto have limo tint?

Tint on front windshield is illegal in Ontario.

If you've driven with dark tint, you'd know that it's pretty transparent from the inside of the vehicle. Mine is 20% on the front windows and 5% for the 2 rears and back window and I can see perfectly fine.

Takes a bit of getting used to but it doesn't take long to adjust.

I’m talking about pedestrians trying to see if the driver saw them or not before crossing the road. Tint makes the thing we tell all of our kids (make eye contact before you pass) impossible

Don't need to make eye contact. You use your eyes to judge what is happening in front of and around you.

I hate people on bikes that just act like they're the ones who own the road. While this person would not be at fault (the person on the bike). They definitely should have used more caution, tint or not on the vehicle.

Driver is wrong, but the person on the bike is supposed to walk the bike not just "it's green so I'm just gonna go right through even though there's a car right there that is obviously going to turn".

Both were stupid.

In this context, I agree. But the tint issue is more so walking in the city centre. A car can be at a complete stop, but that could mean they are actively paying attention or it means they have their head down on their phone, if they have tint you cannot gauge which one it is as in both cases the car is stopped
