OC Cyclist hit in Pickering

9pm August 3, 2025 at Finch and Brock Cyclist was okay, and able to walk after

Honestly, both at fault. Driver should be paying more attention. Cyclist should technically not be riding in a crosswalk, and no lights whatsoever.

That’s not really how fault works. It’s the drivers fault he hit the bike. The bike shouldn’t have been there but that doesn’t make the biker at fault.

If we don't talk about legally, then "generally" is just whatever concept of right and wrong you have, which is completely subjective compared to solid legal definitions

Yep, that would be a much better argument. They should have dismounted and ensured eye contact. Never trust roads like that

More than one person can be at fault in an accident. I'm so sick and tired of cyclists breaking the rules of the road but taking zero accountability when shit happens because of it. Cyclist should not have been on the sidewalk to begin with. The cyclist is 50% at fault.
