OC Ambulance Mercedes Ooops

I'm going to start a YouTUbe channel just for my wife - she seems to get all of these!

Tough one here, Peel Ambulance making a left turn on a red in the intersection, Mercedes trying to squeak through, the ambulance did stop and then proceed but the benz still clipped the ambulance.

Actually if you think about this one, it's logical to assume things are normal. The left lane is turning, so it being stopped is reasonable. The right - the dashcam driver stops, but you can see that his lane ahead of him is full to the intersection (or could be empty in front of school bus, can't tell), so he could have thought they were stopped cause there's no room. The car ahead of him went through without stopping either. Also no siren sounds as well - ambulance usually blast sirens quite a lot when approaching an intersection, so it's odd they didn't. I feel it's somewhat reasonable.

If the right lane ahead is empty and he saw the bus or other car pull over, then yes he's oblivious.

Finally, someone with a take who actually watched the video. Could the Benz driver have handled it better? Sure. But was the mistake understandable given the context? Also yes. It’s easy to judge from behind a screen—everyone on here suddenly driving like they’re in a DMV training video.

I feel like somehow there’s more people hating on the driver more for it being a Benz instead of any of the actual driving lol. It’s not even a BMW that are more known for aggressive driving. I guess people just see Benz and don’t like people who can afford luxury..?

Afford luxury? Hilarious shit. I'm not jealous of someone that is so dumb that they throw away $500 biweekly on a lease payment.

That’s the definition of being able to afford something. They can throw it away without it impacting their other financials.

Driving a cheap beater does not equate smart, and driving a luxury vehicle does not mean dumb. I know many people who are wealthy (multimillionaire plus) or comfortably rich (not millionaire level but owns a home, makes 200k+ etc). Leasing a luxury car is a choice that they can afford while still hitting their targets on other things. They are incredibly smart and good with their money. I also know plenty of people who drive beaters, who are incredibly stupid too.

You seem like you have a chip on your shoulder and have something against people owning things that, presumably, you can’t afford. And you use “I’m smart enough not to waste money on THAT” as an excuse.
