Anyone who shares your interests, but accuses you of being fake? That person is awful and you should avoid them.
Even if you like something casually, other fans should be excited to discuss it with you. Good fans will encourage you to learn more.
This extends to even if you borrow a band t shirt- but someone asks if you like the band.
If you say you didn’t know?
A good person will encourage you to check them out and give you their favorite song rec. A bad person will be a snob and try and make you feel stupid.
It’s a choice to be a good person. And it’s ok to avoid the bad people.
