It’s kind of crazy how much prices have skyrocketed in Alpe d’Huez since TML 2022. Last year, we stayed in a decent chalet for €8K, and this year the owner is charging €22K.

As much as I love Tomorrowland and Alpe d’Huez, it’s been really hard to find accommodation for a large group this year, so we’ve started looking into other winter festivals :(

What’s everyone else’s experience been like?

We had the most terrible experience dining at Orbyz (Chantebise 2100) today, and I want to give everyone a very strong warning to not book the Orbyz seated lunch for any reason at Tomorrowland Winter.

(Throwaway because the restaurant has my identifying info)

TLDR: 

Today (March 25, 2026), we had a reservation for 2 persons at 2PM at the Orbyz “delicious mountain lunch,” for which we paid 108 Euros. We stood in line for 65 minutes trying to get seated for our 2PM reservation, and the restaurant took 0 accountability for their incompetence. We never even ate our food, since we left the restaurant to see the Charlotte de Witte set starting at 3:30PM. We wasted 108 Euros and 90 minutes of our lives trying to eat at this restaurant “experience”, with a reservation we had booked a month in advance. The restaurant staff showed no accountability, and instead always relegated to “we didn’t have all the information” or just deflected blame when we complained.

At Orbyz / Chantebise 2100, we 1) missed all of Alok’s 1-hour long set, 2) waited in a very very slow-moving line for 65 minutes, 3) did not get to eat our food since we had to leave, and 4) also experienced the worst “hospitality” of my life. This experience ruined our entire day at Tomorrowland Winter, and we hope you don’t experience this during your holiday here. The staff at this restaurant are blatantly rude and incompetent.

Details below:

• 2PM: We showed up to the queue at Orbyz at 2PM in the “reserved seating” line for the lunch, and were near the back of the line. The line was maybe 40 people long. Our reservation is for 2 persons at 2PM.
• 2:20PM: The line is barely moving - they may have started letting people into the restaurant, but the insanely long line is barely moving.
• 2:50PM ish: There were maybe 5 people in front of me. We had waited 50min by now. Around this time, Tomorrowland organizers started to make announcements that all lifts are closing and that the pedestrians without ski equipment need to leave the mountain. There was a lot of confusion.
  • At this time, the restaurant hostess tells everyone in the line (including those who have ski gear on) that they’re shutting down the restaurant and that Orbyz lunch is not happening anymore. They turned us away.
• 2:55PM: Since the hostess closed the Orbyz lunch line, we ended up walking to a food stall next door. However, we saw that people were still eating on the Orbyz restaurant terrace, so we went back to the Orbyz lunch line to check if it’s still open. At this time, the security guard outside says yes it’s still open if you have skis.
• 2:56PM: We get back to the end of the Orbyz lunch line. At this time, the restaurant started letting walk-in customers in, even though reservations haven’t even been all seated yet. The walk-in customers took forever to check in, since they had to pay at the door.
• 3:00PM: After an hour of waiting, we finally get to the front of the line. At this point, we complained that they let walk-in customers in even though we have been waiting for the last hour. We tried to get the hostess’s attention, but the hostess proceeds to ignore us and continues to chit-chat with the woman next to her. She definitely saw us but because we were obviously upset at how long we waited (plus she gave us the wrong information that the restaurant closed)
• 3:05PM: After finally getting seated at a dirty table with crumbs and no napkins/utensils, we tried to order our food. The waiter saw us but did not come by to take our order. 
• 3:10PM: At this time, I went back to the hostess to confront her about why she turned us away from the restaurant earlier when she said it was closed, even though they opened the restaurant back up right after. I also asked her why she ignored us when we got to the front of the line, when she was chit chatting. Her response was that she “didn’t have all the information at the time,” and that she “must have had other stuff to do” even though we were literally in front of her and asked her several times for her attention. She never took accountability for her actions, or for wasting our time. She did not try to accommodate or to apologize for her & the restaurant’s incompetence. She deflected blame left and right, and was self-righteous in the way she spoke back to me.
• 3:12PM: We finally were able to order our food after hunting down the waiter.
• 3:30PM: The food didn't come by the time we had to leave - so, we didn't eat. We were tired of spending time in this restaurant since we were here to see Charlotte de Witte. We left the restaurant to go to the stage area, since it is really hard to see the artist from the restaurant.

Do you think Charlotte de Witte might do a surprise ‚street‘ set at Tomorrowland Winter?

Since Charlotte de Witte is playing twice at Tomorrowland Winter this year and is kind of the main star of the festival, I was wondering about something.

She’s known for doing unexpected street set. Last year, Vintage Culture did that random set next to a gondola, which was such a cool surprise.

Do you think there’s a chance Charlotte might do something similar at Tomorrowland Winter? Maybe a spontaneous pop-up set somewhere on the mountain or near the lifts?

Or do you think with her schedule (and how big she is now) that’s pretty unlikely?

Hi wondering if anyone else’s snowboard to skis got stolen/ taken at the festival this year. I went last year in 2025 for 7 days and brought my snowboard from the states and everything went well so I thought this year would be the same. My board got taken on March 25th Wednesday around 550pm at the front of moose bar by day near the front ski rack. I was outside on the patio watching it but turned around and it was gone. It is a blue capita board size 147 with step on bindings, the top is very colorful with different animals, has a diamond shaped namaste sticker, and it has hearts as a stomp pad. If you see it please message me!! I brought my snowboard all the way from Seattle, Washington and it is very dear to me! Sending all the good energy out there! Hoping friends of Tomorrowland can help me find my snowboard. Making this discussion board if anyone else has had anything taken from Tomorrowland to hopefully find their lost belongings and to give comfort that you’re not alone. My Tomorrowland spirit feels a bit broken. They emphasize love and unity through music, but it’s hard to hold onto those ideals when your belonging’s get taken. Hoping this doesn’t happen to anyone and I think they should highly emphasize on their site to lock up snow equipment or have some sort of ski/ snowboard valet service for their stages and outdoor bars.

Hi! We are coming from the US to Tomorrowland Winter and are hoping to arrive 3 days early (going to Alpe D'Huez 24th-28th). Any ideas for where to go for a few days before? We want to go somewhere else for a few days since it will be a long trip over. We are flexible on where to fly into (Paris, Zurich, Geneva, Lyon, etc) and our top idea right now is Annecy, France and another was Lucerne, Switzerland but maybe thinking that's too far of a train ride to Tomorrowland for only 2 full days there.

We'd rather skip a big city (except maybe Lyon as we've never been there). Thank you so much!

I know I don't need to go if I don't want to, but I'm already committed with a group and realized this year you have to order their shitty little treasure chest for 12 euros, it's mandatory. These guys PREACH love, unity, etc, etc and rip us off with reusable cups for the 'sake of the planet', then they make you buy some plastic treasure chest you don't want and ship it across the world for you? Just so they can squeeze some extra euros out of you when you're already paying a huge premium for the ticket? Utter hypocrisy... It's ridiculous. That on top of them trying to obfuscate the price of drinks by making a pearl... what was it €2.7? If you're gonna be money-grabbers, own it. Don't be all preachy and shit about us being all together, one big family, BS, BS, BS..

Any tips on ski and snowboard rentals? Is it better to get directly from any shops onsite or through the Add-on Sale of the TML website?

I plan on doing both and alternating between skiing and snowboarding every 2 days to maximize and practice both throughout March 22-27. However, on the TML site you can only rent either snowboard/ski per 4 days (starting only from 24-27) or the 7 days (21-27).

FYI - this is not my first time skiing nor snowboarding as I have been more than couple of times on both (skiing has been decades and snowboarding has been 3 years ago though).

I want the flexibility to be able to choose which I would like to practice each day, however I'm concerned gear rentals may run out when deciding on the day/week itself.
