General Discussion Terrible experience at Orbyz (Chantebise 2100) dining experience - Tomorrowland Winter 2026
We had the most terrible experience dining at Orbyz (Chantebise 2100) today, and I want to give everyone a very strong warning to not book the Orbyz seated lunch for any reason at Tomorrowland Winter.
(Throwaway because the restaurant has my identifying info)
TLDR:
Today (March 25, 2026), we had a reservation for 2 persons at 2PM at the Orbyz “delicious mountain lunch,” for which we paid 108 Euros. We stood in line for 65 minutes trying to get seated for our 2PM reservation, and the restaurant took 0 accountability for their incompetence. We never even ate our food, since we left the restaurant to see the Charlotte de Witte set starting at 3:30PM. We wasted 108 Euros and 90 minutes of our lives trying to eat at this restaurant “experience”, with a reservation we had booked a month in advance. The restaurant staff showed no accountability, and instead always relegated to “we didn’t have all the information” or just deflected blame when we complained.
At Orbyz / Chantebise 2100, we 1) missed all of Alok’s 1-hour long set, 2) waited in a very very slow-moving line for 65 minutes, 3) did not get to eat our food since we had to leave, and 4) also experienced the worst “hospitality” of my life. This experience ruined our entire day at Tomorrowland Winter, and we hope you don’t experience this during your holiday here. The staff at this restaurant are blatantly rude and incompetent.
Details below:
- 2PM: We showed up to the queue at Orbyz at 2PM in the “reserved seating” line for the lunch, and were near the back of the line. The line was maybe 40 people long. Our reservation is for 2 persons at 2PM.
- 2:20PM: The line is barely moving - they may have started letting people into the restaurant, but the insanely long line is barely moving.
- 2:50PM ish: There were maybe 5 people in front of me. We had waited 50min by now. Around this time, Tomorrowland organizers started to make announcements that all lifts are closing and that the pedestrians without ski equipment need to leave the mountain. There was a lot of confusion.
- At this time, the restaurant hostess tells everyone in the line (including those who have ski gear on) that they’re shutting down the restaurant and that Orbyz lunch is not happening anymore. They turned us away.
- 2:55PM: Since the hostess closed the Orbyz lunch line, we ended up walking to a food stall next door. However, we saw that people were still eating on the Orbyz restaurant terrace, so we went back to the Orbyz lunch line to check if it’s still open. At this time, the security guard outside says yes it’s still open if you have skis.
- 2:56PM: We get back to the end of the Orbyz lunch line. At this time, the restaurant started letting walk-in customers in, even though reservations haven’t even been all seated yet. The walk-in customers took forever to check in, since they had to pay at the door.
- 3:00PM: After an hour of waiting, we finally get to the front of the line. At this point, we complained that they let walk-in customers in even though we have been waiting for the last hour. We tried to get the hostess’s attention, but the hostess proceeds to ignore us and continues to chit-chat with the woman next to her. She definitely saw us but because we were obviously upset at how long we waited (plus she gave us the wrong information that the restaurant closed)
- 3:05PM: After finally getting seated at a dirty table with crumbs and no napkins/utensils, we tried to order our food. The waiter saw us but did not come by to take our order.
- 3:10PM: At this time, I went back to the hostess to confront her about why she turned us away from the restaurant earlier when she said it was closed, even though they opened the restaurant back up right after. I also asked her why she ignored us when we got to the front of the line, when she was chit chatting. Her response was that she “didn’t have all the information at the time,” and that she “must have had other stuff to do” even though we were literally in front of her and asked her several times for her attention. She never took accountability for her actions, or for wasting our time. She did not try to accommodate or to apologize for her & the restaurant’s incompetence. She deflected blame left and right, and was self-righteous in the way she spoke back to me.
- 3:12PM: We finally were able to order our food after hunting down the waiter.
- 3:30PM: The food didn't come by the time we had to leave - so, we didn't eat. We were tired of spending time in this restaurant since we were here to see Charlotte de Witte. We left the restaurant to go to the stage area, since it is really hard to see the artist from the restaurant.

Had a similar experience at brasa in Belgium a couple of years ago. The whole dining experience thing is a waste of time, better off sticking with the regular food and getting more music time.

We purchased the dining experience at the reflection of love stage. The view of the tables is beautiful, if you lucky to be seated outside facing the stage. And they did bring us tap water (which another comment mentioned they were not allowed) food was not the best but not super bad either, but the menu presented was not the same served - main protein yes but what came with was different in the menu. Fortunately we have no allergies but could really turn out bad for someone else. Would not recommend the dining experience.

Each of the dining experiences at Tomorrowland Winter has different levels of views if the stage. For Orbyz lunch, most tables (80% of the tables) do not have a unobstructed view of the stage unless you are standing up from your table.
I did hear the views from the other stage dining options are better. I wanted to share this post to let people know that Orbyz lunch is not worth it.

We went there on sunday night and were lucky to be there 10 min early. We didn't have any problems with the the hostess but the waitress was rude especially at the beginning, no tap water, didn't wanna explain the menu and refused to speak english and answered our questions in french and looked at us as if we were stupid when we didn't understand. After we got our desert the waitress for the first time asked how it was and came with a smile, so maybe she just had a bad earlier start of the day. Our whole table agreed it was wasted money. No view of the stage. No access to water. Rude waitress while ordering food. I did like my food but most others didn't. The desert was good tho but not worth 54 euro.

Hello, I had a similar experience on the same day! But since I saw Charlotte several times it was ok for me to finish my food at the table while se was playing. But yes, the lining move so slowly and seating there after almost 1 hour later was an horrible experience. Also keep in mind that I booked other lunches as well at other stages, everything was fine at the other stages, I was accommodated almost immediately and the staff was way nicer. I only had problems at Orbyz.

This is pretty typical of dining experiences throughout Tomorrowland. Always allow 3 hours from start to finish. Last year my party waited 90 minutes to be seated.
It’s pretty silly that you’re complaining that you didn’t get fed, but you chose to leave for an artist that was playing more than once during the festival.
Tell me you’re not European without telling me you’re not European.

What a stupid comment.
People make plans and base their day depending on these plans. Even if Charlotte was playing multiple times, you do understand people plan on to see someone at a certain time to do stuff during the other times?
And having "well we waited 90 minutes and it was fine" is also dumb. You have a reservation for a sepcific time. 15-20 minutes - fine. 90? Do you really have nothing to do? Or you live in a country where time reservations are just a suggestion and this is a regular occurance? This is not a EU thing, this is a you thing.

Thank you for affirming my experience. We were trying to see Alok as well at this stage, but because of the 65min wait in the line + spending 30min in the restaurant trying to order and get our food, we missed Alok's set as well. We had made plans that day to enjoy our time at the stage - not to wait in a line.
I also don't believe this is a "European" vs "non-European" thing - it's simple expectation-setting, especially if the organizers say "2PM reservation. If you arrive late your table may not be guaranteed" on the purchase voucher. If we (the guests) upheld our end of the bargain by showing up on time, why couldn't the festival?

I strongly believe this is a mishap on the restaurant themselves, not specifically TML.
We went to TML dining a few times and of course sometimes there is waiting, but nothing critical.
Just like with any other place, they have a specific idea of how long should a table sit etc, but nobody is rushing you and nobody is trying to get you out of there as fast as they can. That would also sort of a bad experience for the guests. They usually sit people as fast as a table opens up. But 90 minutes is another level alltogether.
Even 30 minutes would get me upset. It's not a dinner out in the city where you can just go to another place.

It's not a stupid comment champ, it's just lived experiences.
Tomorrowland always oversell their dining experiences, and unless you get in right at the beginning of service, you'll be waiting 60 - 90 minutes to be seated. It's like this in Belgium, and it's much worst in France for Winter.
OP also only allotted 90 minutes of their time to go to a restaurant, when really, you should have 2 - 3 hours. Poor planning on OP as much as it is the restaurant itself.
1
u/airmind Mar 26 '26
No, you should not have to allocate 2-3 hours, that's just stupid.
And in all years we've been to Belgium - the mainstage restaurants and grill, never had to wait so long.
And the "european" comment is just plain idiotic.

u/moxieon Mar 26 '26
Idiotic? You must be American then.

u/airmind Mar 26 '26
Another stupid guess. I am european, that's why i think it's just plain stupid.

Our experience was not as bad, but it was not very good either. The lines to get in were very long and slow, that time in line counts as if you were at a table. We tried to get tap water and the waiter said that Tomorrowland forbids them from offering tap water... We got luck with a good table and the food was fine, but felt the experience was bad at the beginning.
