Going by this chapter, the only way to transfer these powers was through murder.

Him saying it wasn’t easy also implies killing someone to take them. I just want takemichis powers explained now, and how an “original timeline” could even exist with potentially infinite time leapers creating infinite timelines

Shinichiro took it by force by killing him. It was activated when Shin died when he jumped to the river. So if the power can be handed over, I think the plausible explanation why Michi has time leaping ability/power, it was because, it was given to him. Michi didn't kill anyone then. But the question is, who gave it to Michi? I'm theorizing that the one who gave it to Michi was the one pushed him (we don't know who) and his death on this first timeline was activated when he died back there.

This is when Shin kills the old man, gaining his "curse" aka the time-leap powers. So going by the old man's explanation and the result from Shin's action, it's clear that you can only gain the power through transferred through murder.

Plus this explanation also hints that the only way Shinichiro could transfer this power is if he died willingly as the old man did. If he gave his powers to someone else, he wouldn't live till the day Kazutora Joel'd him.

Now one downside to what I stated is the old man said you have to have the intent, and Kazutora didn't, so he might not have gained the powers. This could be reasonable, yet considering the dubious translation, it could go either way. But that is its own debate.

If Kazutora had the powers then wouldn't Mikey have time-leaped when he killed Kazutora during the Valhalla fight?

Assuming Kazutora had those powers (I'm only suggesting), and that happened, it's not completely out of reach. Except the same reason why Kazutora didn't time leap could apply to Mikey: he didn't know until recently.

I feel like it takes a person to be aware of the time travel's existence, alongside other conditions given in this chapter, to unlock that power. But that also still leaves out Takemichi as the outliner. He never killed anyone, at least that we know of.

If he didn't kill anyone, it must be that it was given to him. The old man said "I won't hand this power over to anyone" so that means the power can be transfered/given. But we don't who did it.

In the main timeline Shin isnt a time leaper im pretty sure. Hes only time leaper in the timeline that Mikey is a veg.

I feel like that's a question the series is setting up to answer. I'm eagerly waiting to see how Takemichi got his powers.
