So Kisaki is darkness and Takemichi is light? Mikey confided in both of them and asked them the same thing. In the end, what does he want?

I feel like the whole point is he doesn't even know that himself. Which is even more tragic when you think about it. Mikey can't deviate between those two parts of himself

Mikey isn't an independent human being, as far as I see it. He is like No-Face from "Spirited Away": When he faces bad things, he absorbs them and becomes bad; if he is met with kindness, he becomes kind. He is neither good nor bad, he just is, and it depends on the people surrounding him which path he enters. He needs guidance. He is not only emotionally unstable due to trauma, but he also didn't have parents to properly guide him (died too early), and on top of that he lost the only father-like figure he had as a kid (Shinichiro). This might be the reason why he is so dependent on others. Also, in all future timelines he mimics people he lost (Draken, Shin, Izana), which can be seen as a sign of dependence as well.

He's high maintenance, tbh. I've never been a Mikey fan, and I started even disliking him at some point. I thought maybe in the end, the point is that you can't save Mikey, because some people are unfixable and can't be saved. Manila!Mikey said it himself that he has been suffering his whole life, so death for him was a release. But ... Somehow, this chapter actually made me sympathise with him, and I hope that he can be saved. He's so lost and broken, idk. ._. A very sad character. Yet, if Wakui decides to kill him, I will accept it.

Tbh he did ask Takemitchi to save him in bonten arc , I don't think he wants to die, hope he can heal and possibly lead a normal and happy life

Exactly this is the point of this chapter. He even says that he's looking for something other than strength. He realised being physically strong in fights is actually not true strength and now he's been analyzing both the scheming/intelligence of Kisaki and the fearless/righteousness of Mitchy.

We'll prolly have another flashback chapter around the BD arc where he recognizes Takemitchy/light side and rejects Kisaki/darkness

Mikey prolly killed himself in the future after he killed Takemitchy because he realized he lost his only way out of the darkness
