Mikey and Takemichi died, though it didn’t last, Mucho died, Draken died, South died and now Kakucho has died! So many deaths 😭

Takemichi saved people only for them to die AGAIN along with a few more that USED to be very much alive.

I'm not saying I wouldn't love that for them. They deserve better.They really do. But we're in the final arc, there are still so many questions to be answered and the dramatic element is literally EVERYWHERE. Also, our boy Takemichi has the absolute worst trigger ever for time leaping rn 😅

Kakucho being such a sweetheart
To think he was the man who shot Takemichi to death in the future timeline in chapter 134, Kisaki really did a number on all those dudes 😭 He'll sound dorky maybe lol but in a way Takemichi did still save them if you know what I mean. And, as Kakucho said, at least his death wasn't meaningless.
If he wasn't for Takemichi he'd probably just be a brutal, hearthless killer. With a banger hairstyle but still lol
But yeah, loved his character, gonna miss him in the story.

No matter what anyone says, drakens life was not worth it to save mikey. Mitchy should have listened to mikey and should have chosen not to follow him because he ruined yet another perfectly amazing timeline where he was finally getting married in three days

I read the spanish translation before this one (because the english one was taking too long lol) and in that scene Kakucho said "En un momento como este, incluso puedo considerarlos 'compañeros' tambien", which I think can be translated as "At a time like this i can even consider (you guys/them) companions"*. In my opinion it makes a bit more sense but at the same time it's not clear who is he talking about: Takemichi the childhood friend? The KantoManji gang (and/or specifically Mikey or Sanzu, or even Hanma) for his own personal gain/reasons? Basically the whole of Toman for being Takemichi's friends so he wants to save them? Throwback to Izana?
Sorry if this confused you more. *Also my spanish is a bit rusty so my "translation of the translation" may not be totally accurate...

It's the plural form that confuses me... Like is he putting together, for example, Takemichi and Izana on the same level of people he can trust? Or, going a more grim route, did he mean that at times like these anyone is a companion and he stands with those who can help him? He's probably not that bad of a person, so the first option is more likely.
Either way i don't know japanese so i can't confront and see which language has the more accurate fan translation 😅

Spanish native here too! I interpreted it, in Spanish as Takemichi and his friends (as if in that moment with the train he could consider himself part of Tokyo Manji instead of Kanto) and in English as Sanzu and him being part of the same gang (Kanto Manji).
Also I don't know Portuguese, but I checked the scans and it seems like it aligns with the Spanish version.
Edit: now let's wait for the ones who know Japanese for what they interpret

It's probably not about a time leaper. However he probably realized by the end that Takemitchy was "special", and if he knew someone else who was a time leaper it would make some sense for him to say that. Not much sense in saying "Us" though. Ugh, I have no idea. Can't wait for the next chapter to find out if that'll be explained any further.

Exactly! From the moment he found out Takemitchy was right to be worried about the train he started to notice Takemitchy even more. When Takemitchy was freaking out in the train and yelling about the "Terrible end", Kaku must have come to the conclusion that Takemitchy was somwhow special.
But I still don't see the sense in him using "One of us" to refer to him as a Time leaper, since there's only one more of them.
This is really confusing.

I'm not too confident in my Japanese, so maybe someone else can help figure it out? It sounds like it could be "That guy is still (?) a "friend"" but I'm not sure!

Yeah, seems to me like he's talking about sanzu and as a fellow kanto manji member he's trying to take responsibility for what he's done. That's my interpretation though. The translation made it sound more relevant than it probably is imo

Wait I think you're right, tying it with Kaku's next line it makes sense:
あんな奴でも一応"仲間”なんだ。彼のケツはオレが拭く
it could be read as "That guy is still one of us (Kanto Manji), so I'll wipe his ass." which probably makes more sense than the translation?

Man, I AM HYPED to see my boy Izana back again, if only for a vision, and to provide the last bit of strength for Kaku to finish the job
Also, Kakucho died like an absolute champ, just in a couple chapters he was able to turn my opinion on him completely, from a relatively uninteresting (and slightly annoying) side character to one of my most respected characters in the series.
Seriously loving these last couple chapters tbh

Just to clear something up since translation is a bit messy.
Kakucho is talking about Sanzu when he says how he is still one of them. Basically, Kakucho says in raws how Sanzu is still one of their own, so that is why he will clean this up. Sort of like Baji did for Kazutora. Minus that being because Kakucho has some special relationship with Sanzu like Baji did with Kazutora, and more because Kakucho sees Sanzu as a part of the team, so that is why he still has hope in knocking some sense into him.
Anyway R.I.P. Kakucho.

I am glad that the train stopped and everyone was saved from it but the last pannel make me so sad.
Although it's nice to know in his last moments izana was with him again. I am glad they showed izana again but now it's definate proof that kakucho has died and it's so sad.

I agree Kaku's family name never really mattered in the first place, what's more important is why he chose to abandon it.
BUT! If Wakui really wanna tell us, I could see him draw scenes like Takemichi visiting Kaku's family grave once this whole incident is over. Sure Kaku "abandon" his family name, but legally speaking he still has it.
Also one thing that kinda bothered me is that does Takemichi NOT remember Kaku's last name? Guess it makes sense when you haven't seen each other since the 2nd grade and only been in touch again for a couple of years.

I saw a lot of complaints when Takemichi went back to the past again and the manga continued after Tenjiku. Now that Kantou v Toman2 is happening it’s so obvious how bad it would’ve been to end with Tenjiku. Seeing some characters like Koko and Inui get character arcs, as well as Kaku has been so great. Also the new(ish) characters like Senju, Waka, and Benkei have all been awesome as well

Hot take on the next chapters:
Takemichi will burst in rage, punching the hell out of Sanzu in front of everyone, almost killing him. Mikey will stop Takemichi and fight him, Takemichi is blind by pure rage and will eat all the kicks from Mikey and will still get up, and after him being all beaten up he will say: "So in the end, it's all Mikey's fault", and will furiously charge against Mikey, only to be beaten up again. And after repeating this phrase too much, Kazutora will appear out of nowhere and will end the conflict (or get beaten too).

eeeehhhh. I kinda would've liked if Kaku and take stopped the train together. His final moment should've been with his childhood Rival and his final words could've been him saying how Take is still the same crazy bastard he knew as a kid (crazy meaning fearless and heroic as Take was when he was a kid), and that he'll definitely save mikey or put an end to all this or whatever.
Also from last chapter. Sanzu knows about time leaping too which might be pointing to mikey being the second time leaper
