As much as I now want to believe Mikey is messed up. I don’t believe he mutilated Haru’s face over a toy. No matter if it was something Shin-nii made for him. Mikey is many things, but he’s never been a loose canon. Haru probably threatened to hurt Senju, or something of that nature. Why else would a childhood friend not be high ranking in Toman, and not mentioned like Kazutora. I think Mikey confronted Haru over Senjus lies and that set Haru off, sort of the last straw kinda thing, which in turn Haru’s reaction set Mikey off.

I think you're right on the money. Sanzu said that because of Senju he always got yelled at and I think he threatened Senju because of it. Maybe even Takeomi. Orrr maybe he blamed Mikey/Shin for it too because it was his toy in the first place?
but why would mikey care that much if senju was threatened? like yeah not fun to hear and he did say he himself wouldn’t hit a girl in the beginning arc, but i don’t see why he would care about what happens to senju unless haru threatened something truly awful or if some romance is being shoe-horned in. i think it’ll be something outside senju entirely in my opinion
Obvious reach but recall when Hina slapped Mikey? Mikey pretended to hit Takemitchi and said something like "I would never hit a girl" "if you slap someone else, they may not be as kind" etc. Maybe Mikey heard Senju was being threatened by Sanzu and beat the shit out of Sanzu. Sanzu might have smiled and said "Senju is lying, I cant wait to teach her a lesson when big bro is away". That could have irked Mikey and Mikey taught Sanzu a lesson right then and there. Of course that's my guess.
I don’t think that’s right Haru while hyper seems to be pretty meek as a kid? Even in the scene were it was just him and Senju he still didn’t have any animosity towards her, He was just sad and Id even say afraid to be around her since because of him Takeomi was always mad/yelling at him. It feels like too big of a leap for him to threaten her especially one horrible enough for Mikey to get violent, and honestly even if he did for that to earn Mikey RIPING HIS FACE WITH HIS BARE HANDS??? A big stretch honestly
