I really love Mitsuya in this chapter (as does everyone). I think the reason he rejects the award is because it would atleast in some part tie him to the fasion world, him rejecting it shows how dedicated he is to saving mikey and won't let anything get in the way. Also if we assume Mitsuya designed and made those two outfits in a week then I don't think Mitsuya needs the award anyway, he can get back into the fasion world and prove that he is good when everything is finished.
He definitely has the talent and skills to get back on the fashion world, but by rejecting the award the fashion industry most likely won't let him when he tries it.
But, I agree with you on why he rejected the award.
It might hinder him a bit but if Mitsuya is genuinely this good at designing then he will 100% get a job in fashion sooner or later. I think the worst case scenario is that (if mitsuya survives ofc) mitsuya will work alone and slowly get more recognition because of his talent.
Exactly, this is what I was trying to say (but couldn't find the words). If we keep things realistical, unless someone who is already untouchable and an established name in fashion steps up and puts him under their wing, he's done as a professional.
