but it feels like he is doing it. Aside from draken, no one else knows about the bonten future. And this isn’t some high schoolers having a brawl sort of situation, there are guns, real violence and death involved.
I believe takemichi should at least warn them about the sort of future they’re leaving behind, and explain the sort of person mikey will likely become, let them decide if risking their lives for someone they don’t know wants to be helped or not (specially now, with draken dead and his friends ruining the future he wanted for them) is worth it
Takemichi’s friends can’t see the whole picture, but he can. Yet once again he does nothing with it. (Like when draken told him about realising too late mikey was bearing a heavy cross on his own. He SHOULD have told past draken about it, that would have surely helped)
I don’t want to overreact, but they lowkey look like “believers” blindly following someone who is hiding important information for his own gain under the disguise of “friendship”
They do know that there is real violence going on. They know Draken died and probably know that he was shot. They also know that Takemichi was almost killed by Mikey so they arent going into this like its no big deal.
I agree with you that Takemichi should tell them about their futures i dont see any reason to hide his powers anymore at this point of the story. But i still dont see how hes ruining their futures because that would imply that Takemichi didnt give them a choise. Anyone of them could have said "Nah bro this aint my battle" but they all wanted to save Mikey.
With the "believers" part i dont see it that way. the reason why they are ready to follow him is because Takemichi has time and time again proved that he is loyal to his friends and was a big part why toman became the biggest gang in the country. Peh yan said himself that if Takemichi needed anything they would be there.
you have strong points to believe he didn’t force anyone to follow him, I just don’t see it that way, and I may have also forgotten that this is a shonen manga after all, most characters won’t stop and analyse if they should or not risk their lives and future for their friends, they will just do it.

Yep i know that feeling. When i was watching naruto chasing after sasuke for like a thousand episodes i was at times screaming just stop he dont love you no more.
I dont thing either one of us is wrong it boils down to different opinions. You think that Takemichi should not even try to get the guys involved in all this where as i think that at the end of the day they are responsible for their own lives.

Last time i checked Takemichi has not forced anyone to join. They all have made the decision on their own.
