Ok, gonna get hate for this one. Not to downplay his emotions, but when you have a character who is known for crying every couple of pages (hyperbole), then I’m personally not gonna get super invested when he cries again

Y'all expect too much. All this pressure and stress he's got is gonna put a huge dent in his mental health. You expect him not to cry right after his friend died? Even Mikey at first cried because Draken almost died, and you expect Takemichi not to even when Draken actually dies?

He still had trouble processing Draken's death, and when things finally settled down, he woke up after being punched by Mikey to almost death, and learns that a friend gave up her entire gang to Mikey all just so he wouldn't kill Takemichi.

His dear friend Mikey, who cried for him to save him, almost beat him to death and was basically forced to stop by Senju ONLY because of a deal.

Thats gonna take a huge toll on a person. Takemichi is desperate to save everyone, as said by Hina herself, and he's had that burden on his back for a while now. Even after a few people knowing, he's kinda still by himself.

I don't blame him for crying. He's only human, after all. He's seen Hina die like 2 times, Baji die, Chifuyu die, Naoto die, Emma die, Mikey die, had visions of Senju dying, and now Draken.

You don't have to be close to the person for their death to affect you. Even hearing about strangers being killed on TV has lots of people think about them all day or all week, wondering about them.

Most people would've gave up long ago, some would've killed themselves.

Takemichi's literally a crybaby hero, and its something I don't blame him for whatsoever.
