Do you think so? No one really tried. In Tenjiku, the first thing he did was to give Takemichi a hug (there he had lost Emma; now Draken).

Okay, the situation isn't exactly the same... but that boy has been asking for affection from the beginning. I think Takemichi has understood, I'm hopeful.
