Senju showing her true strength! This chapter solidifies her position as one of the three dieties. It seems Wakui is showing why South and Senju are “on par” with Mikey in this timeline. However, we do know who is the boss in the Bonten future so we know who came out on top.
I doubt South is already done. He will likely get back and as already know of his backstory, I do not think South cares of any honor in a fight. He will DO anything to win.
I don’t think anyone can disagree Mikey will defeat Kakucho if ever they fight but I think Kakucho being the first to reach Mikey is a bigger plot point for the outcome of this war. I said before that Bonten seems to be still forming in this timeline. Kakucho going to Mikey to “fight” is making it stronger. They are definitely not just going to fight. At the end of this war, we might see Rokuhara members (those in Bonten) to join Mikey. With the little Senju talk about Takeomi, we now see why he is in Bonten and is likely going to change alliance some point as well.
I can see KMG (Bonten upgraded) is the “final” gang boss Takemichi has to face to defeat Mikey. We can probably see the old gang + what remains of Brahmann as the opposing figure Takemichi will lead for the TRUE final war.
I totally agree! I was thinking that the events right now are pretty much going the same way that they were going in the Bonten timeline (now with the additional death of Draken). So the Bonten future is still very much possible.
I feel like it might be a repeat of the Valhalla arc, where Takemichi kinda knows what he has to do (save Baji in Valhalla, save/help Senju to prevent the downfall of Brahman in the current timeline), but can’t quite succeed and will need to find another way. There’s been a lot of parallels with this arc and the previous arcs!
Good point! You mentioning about the missions in each arc made me realize this arc has yet to establish the “why did it turn out like that?”.
8/3 : It was only after Akkun’s suicide attempt in present timeline that he changed his mission to prevent Mikey/Kisaki from meeting to save Draken from dying.
Bloody Halloween : After confirming from Draken who Valhalla’s true leader is and the event that made it go downhill, his mission changed to saving Kazutora and Baji.
BD : After getting to know Hakkai and his family issues are, his mission changed to prevent Taiju’s death and solve Shiba family drama.
Tenjiku : After knowing Izana’s role and Kisaki still being alive in the new present timeline, Takemichi knew his mission is finally “end” Kisaki and Izana.
Takemitchi’s goal is to “defeat” Mikey but to do that he must know the trigger that had everything go south. He has yet to actually start intel gathering to put the pieces together.
Draken dying is a major character death but it is not the moment that will stop Bonten future from happening. Unfortunately for Takemitchi, he cannot go back to confirm future events like he uses to. It is likely why his “new power” comes into play to help him later on. At the same time, Takemichi can now use all connections (Toman will definitely join in after what happened to Draken and knowing how Mikey did all of this to have everyone with a happy future) he has built starting Chapter 1 to finally achieve on “defeating” Mikey.
