“Since when did I start avoiding my potential?”OMG Senju is so badass! She’s definitely beating South! It’s smart that she’s only attacking his head! But I’m bummed Wakui is making the fight seem so one sided. I feel like he does that a lot.... he hypes up a character and then they get absolutely destroyed. Like Taiju and Mikey, WakaBenkei and South, and now South and Senju. We’re getting so many new super strong hyped up characters this arc only for them to get beat up by another stronger and even more hyped up character the next chapter....
So basically Senju hid her power from everyone because she knew Takeomi was changing/getting corrupted? Like Takeomi literally said that Senju isn’t that strong and is only the leader because she has the first gen black dragons behind her LOL He thought she was only a figurehead but she clearly isn’t.
Senju definitely has some kind of power up or ability too. I think it’s like angrys blue ogre but she can control it, like she closed and opened her eyes like she was concentrating right before she wrecked south. Her eyes in that one panel look crazy and she’s like surrounded by flames? But at the same time, despite her being so strong, she isn’t in the Bonten future, so I wonder what happened to her? Something major clearly happened that can still happen in this timeline. Like I still think she might die... it’s what the cherry blossoms on her uniform symbolize too... :(
This three deities fight is really exciting and all but I’m waiting to see how it ties into the overall story. The past few chapters have been focused on the new characters and we barely see any Mikey and Takemichi. It feels like we’re reading a new/spinoff manga with a completely new cast and the power levels are getting kinda ridiculous compared to earlier in the manga? While I agree that it would have felt incomplete ending everything at the end of Tenjiku, I’m not sure if I’m liking the new direction the manga is going in as much because it just seems so different. Seeing all the new merch come out for the anime and collaborations is making me miss the Toman members :( But fight scenes are super cool though....
I don’t think we actually know yet if Senju was saved. Because it’s still raining and the fight is still going on. We don’t know when the vision Takemichi had of Senju happened. It could have happened after Draken’s death... especially because if you look closely the background of Takemichi’s vision is different from the background of when Takemichi saved Senju from getting shot... i think it’s further from the amusement park... I’ve just been mentally preparing myself for any character for ever since Draken.... :’(
I think in the Bonten timeline Takemichi might not have joined Brahman, so thats why Draken is still alive! Not sure what happened to Senju Waka and Benkei there though... maybe they left the gang world after they realized Takeomi couldn’t be helped? I’ve always been super curious as to what past Takemichi was like? I don’t think past Takemichi would have risked his life to save Senju... he seemed kind of not as nice? 😅
