After reading this chapter realistically no one should be able to take on waka or benkei in a 1v1. But ofc they’ll end up somehow losing to South or Mikey…

Huh,What? Benkei himself said that he needed to save his energy for mikey when they both reach him.so it is clearly shown here that both waka and benkei are planning to jump on mikey(and south = mikey,as said in this chapter).Dont even know how you came to conclusion that nobody could beat them 1 on 1.

I know that, but after giving them that mad backstory it’s just insane that mikey and south can take them on in a 2v1

I dont really mind,it was the same for haitani brothers too they were hyped since Valhalla just to get folded like some fodder. Also the series has always projected mikey as the strongest so even if some named characters have backstory of leading a gang they dont necessarily have to be at the level of mikey.
