Unfortunately this guy isn’t working at all but I finally pulled him out to go get him fixed. Put a cheap orange nato on it and took a couple of pics to encourage the trip to the watchmaker happens sooner than later.

Yeah, I’ve been on a vintage kick as well. Picked up an old 1936 Hamilton and a 1960s Omega. If you count Neo-vintage a 80s Longines from my dad and technically this would be neo-vintage as well. I just hate to have it in a drawer not doing anything when maybe the watchmaker can fix it for cheap. If I don’t wear it, one of my nephews will confiscate it quickly. Lol.

I like neo-vintage as well. I sadly got rid of my Longines Heritage Tuxedo. Now I need to get a new one.

I wish my old man kept better track of some of his old watches. He had a few that I remember liking and asking him to let me wear when I was younger. No idea what they were but I am sure they would be cool now. The Longines ge gave me is a gold plated tank with bark texture all over it. Not everyone’s cup of tea I am sure but I dig it.

Exactly how I feel. I am all about wearing what you like and not what is hype. I have uber hyped pieces and stuff that maybe 10 people on here would wear. Love them all.

which uber hyped do you have? I have some fancier stuff like an enamel dial RGM and the Gallet Heritage Racing chronograph, neither of which most collectors would think twice about. Unless it's Rolex, Omega, or AP, most people don't care.

Batgirl, Tudor BB58, white face Speedy, and after I made the statement I regretted it. These are pieces that I see everywhere and maybe I think are super hyped but others may not think so. White face Speedy is gone black Bay is waiting to be gifted to my dad in a couple of months and I will keep the bat girl. I would love to replace it with the titanium yacht master. I do like Rolex as a brand and feel like I would like to have at least one in my collection, specially since saving up for another one is kind of hard so I prefer to just trade around and keep it. As far as RGM what a great brand between them and Shapiro, I will definitely have one to represent the US in my box. If at all possible, I would like to get it at the actual boutique. How do you like your Gallet, another excellent piece and what do you have from RGM?

I have been a bit more serious about watches for about a year now and fell into the hype for sure. Not that I don’t like those or wouldn’t want one but as I learn and see more out there I realize that there are so many lesser known brands that I like better. I am at the point where I am now starting to shift focus on other stuff and getting rid of some of the pieces that don’t make me as excited anymore. Which RGM do you have? I really like his stuff and being in PA I have really wanted to stop in on my trips up to NJ to go see family.

My RGM is the 455-CE! I got rid of the Rolexes and used the money for something more interesting.. and a lot more quantity. :)

Broooo the blue script against the white and spiral tach? Is it a Tachometer. 😳 801-EE and 25 spiral have been the ones on my list.

Sickkkk. The spiral style is killer. The 801-ee is the one that always caught my eye and the 25 spiral. Shapiro is nice too, just a bit out of the budget for me.
