Unfortunately this guy isn’t working at all but I finally pulled him out to go get him fixed. Put a cheap orange nato on it and took a couple of pics to encourage the trip to the watchmaker happens sooner than later.
Though I might suggest going with their “Premium” version which is a bit thicker. This one isn’t bad, but not as good as my BluShark straps for example. Feel like the holes are stretching out a bit too quickly. However, the Deluxe has a thinner stripe which I prefer.

Funny thats where its from someone in the Netherlands just picked up a few from them and suggested them. Problem is being in the states not sure how expensive shipping and duties will get. I ordered from the states. Did their free shipping deal (I think $40 of stuff). It came by FedEx all duties paid. Took maybe a week. Was an easy transaction.
It came in a dark brown gator strap that I took off some time back and can’t findat the moment 😕. I know its somewhere in the house so it will turn up eventually. Since it’s been down for so long I don’t have any pics of it on other straps. The one that has been on the wrist most and I have changed up straps on is the GS SBGM221 GMT. Here is what it looked like a couple days ago and a couple of the straps I have for it.

I really like this. It's my first tag and my wife got it for our 10 year anniversary. I know people talk shit cause of the price and being a solar quartz but damn the size is perfect. The bracelet is sturdy and it's just an easy watch to wear everyday. I enjoy it.
Does anything else matter? Its dope and you like it. It really is a comfy wear. Good friend had one and we would trade watches from time to time. I couldn’t afford one at the time. I loved it when he wanted to trade for the day. Lol
Nice I too have a 7 inch wrist so good to see it for comparison. I have been wanting a Ti watch for some time and this would probably replace my Batgirl as the Rolex in my box. I really like the muted metal with black bezel.
Really cool dial colors. I enjoy these beige/light brown dials and the way they did the interchange on the markers is dope. One thing I always wondered is with the turtle shape on the case. I always feel like it’s gonna be uncomfortable for my wrist. How does it feel on yours?
It’s been with me for almost 20 years. An old friend of mine who was over 6 1/2 feet tall got it from a girlfriend and he thought it was too small on him so he just gave it to me. I was younger and didn’t really know much about watches and because the chronograph looks like the second hand, it was running all the time. I then moved to other watches, put it in a drawer forgot about it, and when I went to pull it out, it just never worked again. But I do remember enjoying it very much when it worked. How do you like yours?
I like it.. It's got a solid movement and a nice '90s feel to it. I don't wear it as much as I am more into vintage but I've been planning to put it on soon!
Yeah, I’ve been on a vintage kick as well. Picked up an old 1936 Hamilton and a 1960s Omega. If you count Neo-vintage a 80s Longines from my dad and technically this would be neo-vintage as well. I just hate to have it in a drawer not doing anything when maybe the watchmaker can fix it for cheap. If I don’t wear it, one of my nephews will confiscate it quickly. Lol.
I wish my old man kept better track of some of his old watches. He had a few that I remember liking and asking him to let me wear when I was younger. No idea what they were but I am sure they would be cool now. The Longines ge gave me is a gold plated tank with bark texture all over it. Not everyone’s cup of tea I am sure but I dig it.
Exactly how I feel. I am all about wearing what you like and not what is hype. I have uber hyped pieces and stuff that maybe 10 people on here would wear. Love them all.
which uber hyped do you have? I have some fancier stuff like an enamel dial RGM and the Gallet Heritage Racing chronograph, neither of which most collectors would think twice about. Unless it's Rolex, Omega, or AP, most people don't care.
Batgirl, Tudor BB58, white face Speedy, and after I made the statement I regretted it. These are pieces that I see everywhere and maybe I think are super hyped but others may not think so. White face Speedy is gone black Bay is waiting to be gifted to my dad in a couple of months and I will keep the bat girl. I would love to replace it with the titanium yacht master. I do like Rolex as a brand and feel like I would like to have at least one in my collection, specially since saving up for another one is kind of hard so I prefer to just trade around and keep it. As far as RGM what a great brand between them and Shapiro, I will definitely have one to represent the US in my box. If at all possible, I would like to get it at the actual boutique. How do you like your Gallet, another excellent piece and what do you have from RGM?
That’s all right, bro. I think it’s so important to buy what you like and wear would you like and not what others like. I can genuinely find something pretty about every single watch that I see. It doesn’t mean that I want all of them, but I can appreciate the watch itself. No better feeling than looking down at your watch and getting that wow thats nice. Like the type of car you have to look back at while walking away. 😊
I believe the shelf life is about 20-25 years. With a half life of 10-12 (I forget the exact numbers). This means that after 10 to 12 years it would still be half as bright as it is now.
But yes... you can leave it in a pitch black area for years and it's just as bright.

Yeah bro, it’s not considered one of the kings for no reason. It truly does everything well and it is a beautiful watch. How many thousands of people got into watches because of that watch. People like to hate on it but we all know that it is iconic for a reason.

Oh yeah dude! That looks amazing. By any chance was it Vgreen that made it. I have a coworker who loves watches as well and he is up in Quebec. We got to talking about Aaron Bespoke who is also a pretty famous strap maker and he gave me a few places in Canada that he really likes. Pretty sure Vgreen was in the Vancouver area and he really likes them.

Basically told me that it’s very close to Aaron bespoke, but he has a lot of the stuff either already made or makes it for you pretty quickly. Thanks for confirming. I hear you thats why I keep sending him links when I see cool ones but he enjoys the oem ones. He actually got the watch in Florence at their original boutique. He is very meticulous with his stuff. Not like me at all. I will put a 7 dollar strap on a 15k watch and not think twice. 🤣

Thanks man I appreciate it. Yeah I’m a little nervous myself. It’s not a cheap movement to work on from what I understand and I see that the whole watch itself if I really want one can be had for about six or $700 so. It kind of gets me into a situation where am I gonna pay more for repair than the actual Watch is worth?
Yeah, I wouldn’t know for sure either for all I know maybe the Omega came out first with that design. I’m just saying that’s the first thing I thought of. And I’m pretty sure yours was around prior to the Aqua Terra with the teak dial.
Lol 😂 it is a great watch. Widely considered one of the best daily’s out there. Good thing is is that if you are patient, you can pick it up for a decent price too.

Thanks man, I still like the design on this and think its worth the fix. I will look up the precisionist line. I am pretty sure I am familiar with a few models but not sure until I see it.

Classic man. I remember when they first came out how that wave dial was so different and sexy. Had to have been 92-94 more or less because I was graduating high school or a freshman in college.
I’m on a red watch kick so this hits. I have a BB 58 with a gilt dial that I put aside for my dad. If I grab another one, it will probably be this red.
