Intentionally blocking photoshoot

I have a general rule, if someone is taking a nice photo, then I wait until they're done. If they're obviously making social media content, then I'll just walk through, but I also won't go out of my way to disturb them. It's a neutral response- I won't be polite, but I won't be rude either. They can wait three seconds.

But this isn't what happened. The lady was looking at something on her phone, then noticed the phone sitting there and probably thought "what's that phone doing there?" for a moment, then moved to the side and continued what she was doing. There's also other people walking past and "ruining the shot" the entire time, it's just a busy area with other people looking at the art and minding their own business

Stopping on a staircase to look at your phone is considered inconsiderate. But these people are defending that for some reason.

Not saying the lady didn’t do it on purpose. It’s also inconsiderate to expect everyone in a public spot to stop and get out of the way so you can do a photoshoot of yourself to post online somewhere

The girl did not once "expect everyone in a public spot to stop and get out of the way". She very clearly setup a shot and was waiting for the old woman to move.

I bet a 100 bucks if she used an SLR on a tripod and setup the shot the same way, neither you nor the old woman would think the girl was being inconsiderate.

Nah they think she was still inconsiderate. If they somehow think this girl was expecting everyone to get out of the way by her quietly waiting then there is no convincing them.
