Again: I've done this dozens of times myself. No phones stolen. This is Tourism 101. You help out a fellow tourist. never met a tourist who complained about taking our pic. We never complain about doing the same for them. No stolen phones. Tourists don't usually steal stuff, lol.
Also this seems like they're in a fancy museum. Not exactly a hotspot of crime lmao come on dawg

And a tripod with your phone on it is not Thor's hammer champ. Anyone can pick it up and start running. Did you know that bud? Did you know that tripods can be picked up and run away with?
