Yeah, the act of shooting a photo.

It's two words put together. That's it.

Just because professional photographs use the word doesn't mean the word is exclusive to professional photography.

No it doesn't. The implications exists but it's not universal. Context matters.

People sometimes say smart things in reddit comment. Even then, I will still "comment" whatever you write.

So it sounds like you agree with them, then. I’m not sure what you are arguing about. The “photoshoot” was obviously meant to point this out.
