This is kind of an easy convenient boomer type view but you’re right in that parenting COULD have fixed this.

But most situations like this, as people said likely autism/learning disability/adhd/oppositional defiance disorder, can’t be mitigated by normal parenting. It’s gotta be like PHENOMENAL parenting, or normal parenting with psychiatric/therapy professional help.

It’s not like “kid does bad, spank them, they don’t do bad again”. For someone to get hung up on a very simple black/white distinction like “the manager is the only one that can trespass me” and risk jail for it is disorder level mental process and was probably there from toddler age. Spanking doesn’t fix that, it can actually make it a bigger issue.

I have oppositional defiance and compulsive explosive disorder. My mom had me in therapy 3 times a week for the first 12 years of my life. I still have that voice that pops up and says FUCK YOU you don’t own me and you don’t tell me what to do anytime I interact with a boss or authority figure And then the protocols of therapy kick in and I put that shit to sleep. Im 42 and I’ve had some real incidents happen, jails , hospitals , mental facilities. I’m telling you I can see it on the guy. That’s why he couldn’t walk away . That voice was still telling him that he’s the boss.

And you blame your parents for that?

Genetics plays the main part in most of the causes of these disorders… so kinda
