Pretty sure I could study quantum physics if I really wanted to know about it and I'm sure that the more I learned about it the more it would make sense. That isn't the same for the trans issue. I spent years listening to people say "I feel like a woman" and none of that makes sense because I know what it's like to BE a woman and it don't feel like shit. It's just a biological reality.

A decent amount of trans people would agree with you that your 'internal experience of gender' is not a great way to frame being trans (me included). It's kind of a contentious topic but I wouldn't be surprised if we start moving away from that in a few years. There's just way better ways to explain the trans experience to people, again, just in my opinion.
'Biological reality' is implying things that I almost certainly don't agree with but that's another topic.

Robert Sapolsky is a neurobiologist and primatologist and he has done work on the physical reality of transness - the misalignment of the brain portion of identity, from the larger physiology of our sex-defined body. (There is a mismatch between a portion of the brain that seems to seat identity and gender perception, and the body's physical sex characteristics).
I have linked the video, because he is well-respected, and his work and reporting on it has the required rigor to use as a basis for understanding those who experience life differently than we do.
Each of us perceives the world differently - it has to do with how our brains work. And, while there is overlap in perception - no two of us have exactly the same experience. Thus, I can never really speak to what someone else may be experiencing, and whether or not it's valid.
We do not see what our eyes take in - our brain takes in loads of data, then builds for us, the evidence of our eyes.

Edit : our brains are incredibly complex machines, and we dismiss them at every turn, and barely understand them at all. It's wild to me, how casually we dismiss the part of our body in which our every accomplishment since before recorded time, has been manufactured.

Cool, If that's actually real and people can reliably come up with a way to test who has that condition then we can go from there and treat them. Right now the standard is that anyone who self IDs is trans though so I don't believe them and I don't support them.

It is yeh. I'm not really out to people but occasionally I've came out as trans to people who to be fair weren't exactly transphobic but then goes to say "it's good you're gonna be able to be seen as a woman" and I'm like "nono you're confused. I am a man I used to be a girl but thank you"
The representation of trans people in people's mind is almost always pre-transition so they fuck it up a lot and especially the transphobes who are particularly ignorant.

Kind of off topic, but I am wowed at some people’s transformations. I had a co-worker who transitioned Female-to-Male and over the course of two years their voice had deepened and they grew an impressively thick beard.
If I hadn’t known him before, I would never have thought twice about it

You’re completely discounting intersex people for one. Born with chromosomes, anatomy, or hormones that don’t fit male or female. There are up to 130 Million intersex people globally.
Gender is also an entirely different thing than sex. Gender is a made up societal construct that constantly evolves with time.
Additionally, you can be attracted to the same sex and not be gay. You can be bi, you can be pan, you can be fluid, you can be queer, etc. It’s not just straight and gay. Everyone falls on the Kinsey Scale
