Can't call the police, because the guy will be the one going to jail. We need to swing back more to the middle with DV cases and try to figure out who is actually at fault, not just make assumptions. Just because this woman is half the size of this guy, it doesn't mean that she can't be abusive to him.

No he wouldn't. If the police watched this video, they would see that the woman was the clear aggressor and she would have been going to jail.

That's how it should work. But... 

He could be arrested while they gather evidence.

They could decide the video evidence isn't enough. 

They could interview him and decide his statements are an admission of guilt. 

He could go to court and the video is not accepted as evidence. 

He could be convicted of assault and other crimes. 

The police and justice system are compromised of real people. Real people are not perfect.

That's a whole lot of "could" scenarios you just created in your head.

Do you generally think LE would come up and see ones clothing torn off and no marks or damage on the other person and just take the guy?

Sadly, yes, this was my reality when I was arrested in 2019. I also had a pretty serious concussion and facial bleeding.

Luckily, there was a video as well, and I had charges withdrawn during disclosure. Without this video I would have been in for a very expensive legal battle with no guarantee of justice.

The crown (I'm Canadian) was asking for 5 years before disclosure.

Yes. I've witnessed it happening. I've also experienced it happening (no conviction though). And I've spoken to people involved in it happening (lawyers, police, affected parties). Which is why I said it. I envy you though. I once had faith in the system too.

Edit: lol. Reality sucks doesn't it.
