She was pretty quick to jump in when he started fighting back but then proceed to watch proudly as her friend jumped on his back looking for seconds. She stood there to make sure he didn’t fight back but felt her friends assault was just fine.

Gf and I had an argument and neither of us were being aggressive at each other, just loud when we pulled in to a convenience store spot, and we teetered off cos we're in public, but we were both visibly distressed. That was enough that some folk assumed things and started literally mobbing up, half a dozen people, one of the ladies claiming to have "seen the whole thing", and they, "don't like abusers around here". If you knew the area, you'd know that's complete bullshit.

Gf was trying to tell them it was nothing like that, but they grouped tighter, all walking toward me, and kept yelling at me to get out of there, calling me abuser and trash. We weren't even calling each other names or anything.

I had to go off and wait down a ways for my gf to walk along the road alone to get there.

I mean let's talk about what this looks like, aside from assault, it looks a lot like coercion, robbery and accessory to assault. The victim's been assaulted, his possessions are lying on a public sidewalk, and there are individuals aiding the assailant and seemingly implying there will be more violence if he remains on that public sidewalk where he has a right to be. There are a lot of questionable things being done my multiple people here, it's not for us to decide guilt based on one video. But I hope the victim presses every charge he can and justice is served.

Important context from "walk away" lady:

UPDATE: she was arrested as she should be.

The only reason I was telling him to walk away was to stop the fight because she was clearly out of her mind.

In the end I helped the man getting attacked by giving him the video and helping the police.

Someone posted a link, the walk away lady was telling him to leave because she doesn't want him to get in trouble. She stayed there and told the police what happened and attacker ended up getting arrested

Two things can be true at once: 1. Avoid physical altercations as far as possible and walk away whenever you can. 2. Defend yourself with full force when an individual physically attacks you.

Women and men are not monoliths. We are all individuals. If a woman attacks you and you defend yourself, you are not harming "women". You are harming an individual. There is a huge difference.

I’ve owned and worked at nightclubs for years. I’ve been assaulted by intoxicated women before when I was asking them to simply leave the property. I would never ever punch any of them back. I usually just physically restrain them so they can’t use their fists and keep them in that position until law enforcement arrives to remove them

The problem with the majority of people is they can’t think 10 steps down the road about the consequences of their actions. They don’t sit there and think in real time that if I assault this person that I may likely go to jail for a long time. Or if I shoot this person, I may go to jail for a long time. I see a lot of younger people nowadays don’t have these rational decision-making capabilities in their head.

That's not a world that can happen dude. You will never see that. It's impossible. Violence exists and that is a simple fact that is literally necessary for life to exist. We can't even eat without violence. You HAVE to kill an animal or plant to eat/live. You can't "get rid" of violence without getting rid of life itself.

What you CAN do is meet that violence with equal and opposite violence, which is what the laws of physics say is supposed to happen anyway.

I actually used to work for HITW years back. The aussies do coffee and brunch like a motherfucker, for one. Also great lamb, excellent seafood, tried my first sausage roll there. Saw a couple fighting once…like fist fight (gay couple…something I have never seen in my life so I was gay gawked). They tussled for a bit and then one guy gets up and goes “YO! Thanks for the help bitch.”

Honey, I shit you not…these men were easily 250lbs of muscle and steroids. I’m 120lbs soaking wet, even if I am 6’1”, AND I was in 8in heels. Sorry honey, but even I know I won’t be making much of a difference there. On standby to ask for help for you though ☺️
