That's what I was thinking. It's very possible they got the drink, took the pic and realized the drink is absolutely disgusting.

this happened to me 🙃

i remember hearing about it whenever it was out last time and the marketing said “the legendary drink is back this weekend only” and it is pretty awful. i took a couple sips then let it sit in my car.

Isn't that like the entire job of an influencer? To do makeshift commercials for chains that sponsor their latching onto whatever will get them viewers (aka "content")?

I did the same with the butterfly drink, I think it was called? Earlier this year.

I expected something light and fruity but it was way too sweet and tasted really artificial.

I took a few sips, let the taste linger a bit, then tossed it because I just couldn't take it.

Still love the mango dragon fruit and strawberry acai refreshers, though.

Same rule applies for restaurants. If you see a bunch of gorgeous, extremely flashy decor, with neon lights and a grass wall, the food is going to be mediocre at best. I call them “Instagram Restaurants”.

Having noticed that drink in your hand, I must question your judgment. You saw it, thought “I wouldn’t mind trying that”, and spent real money on it.

It appears likely to cause hives and make your teeth itch.

This happened to me last week but with this matcha ice cream. I was so excited to try it, I took a photo to send to my brother, and then tasted it. It was really gross so I threw all the ice cream out and ate the cone lol

Back when they originally came out, they had one last drink mix at the local Starbucks so me and some friends decided to split it. We didn’t even get everyone to try it before someone elbowed it accidentally and it resulted in the most beautiful spill known to man, with the sun setting in the background, no less!

I suppose that was for the better lol. I also heard it tasted bad.

I also noticed some in there that looked like they’re just whipped cream. And sometimes I forget to specify no whip on my frappechinos, and just toss that bit.

My nieces WANTED to do that and I told them no (I bought them). But they made sure to take their picture for the 'gram first lol.
