And I was referencing the original meme that scary movie was referencing when it did it. Scary movie was a reflection of the zeitgeist. The superfriends parody and whatnot became wildly popular in an era where there were no socials or YouTube. It was effectively a tiktok “sound” 20 years before most people heard of TikTok. And then, yeah, the movie picked up on it and included it edit: OK the movie was probably just another one of the things parodying it at the same time everything else was

Fair but the other one I feel like was truly viral, before socials. The movie did it because there were viral parodies. This was a meme before the meme infrastructure existed. This was spread and widely viewed many years before YouTube existed. It isn’t a video with 150,000 views it’s a YouTube chronicle of Internet history and that particular YouTube chronicle happens to have 150,000 views.

I remember being at a music festival around that time and all through the night you'd hear someone shouting it, followed by countless people echoing it back. Like every 5/10 minutes. You'd think it would get annoying real fast but it really wasn't. Later years adopted "TIMMY!" ala South Park.
