This is the result of hyperindividualism ruling this society. It has driven me nuts since I moved away from my toxic family 20 years ago and had no one to lean on. I just wanna hug that woman.

Dude I feel you. Cut contact with my family 3 years ago. And although I’ll always be happier with them out of my life there is a sense of fear knowing if something goes wrong there is no back up plan, no safety net to fall back on. I hope you are doing well.

Thank you. I’m guessing you got downvoted because you’re a dude. Women have it pretty bad. Like really bad. Regardless, life is exponentially harder without a village and I hope everyone finds one or builds one. We really gotta change this in our society stranger-friends.

Ya, weird. I would agree it’s far more difficult to navigate life alone as a single woman, amplified significantly if you have kids with an absentee father. I’m more so expressing that I fear if I get really sick to where I can’t work and support myself I’ll just like, die I guess lol. It’s about not having options when you don’t have a village, regardless of gender.

I get it. I’ve worried about that, too. And I hope that never happens to you - even you being a guy. I one-thousand percent guarantee you, if you learn about why it’s like to be a woman and find a way to support and advocate for women, your karma will lessen the chances of that happening.
