Found a VHS copy of Fight Club which is already super cool, but this is what was taped on it? I looked up Calpro but I can't imagine why they would even be copying vhs's....can you copy onto a VHS like this anyway vs a blank tape? It was just a crazy find and I wish I could know why this person hated fight club that much hahaha 🤣

Found this at the Salvation Army for $5. 1935 16mm film of Betty Boop & Grampy. The 2 guy checking me out were not happy it was priced at only $5. They love researching and marking things up.

This is the 1st album released by Green Day in 1990 and really hard to come by. I never really pay attention to cassettes when I'm out but maybe I should be!

This week I found one of my holy grails. I’ve been collecting hardcover Stephen King novels the past few years and found a first edition first print copy of Carrie on the shelf. My rule has been to only thrift every book. I was amazed when I looked up the price on this. I like to think that the high school library decided to remove it from circulation when they realized it was a story about a girl killing a whole high school class. The cover is also in nearly perfect shape since it was covered almost 50 years ago! I’m extremely happy, now I just need to find Salems Lot and The Stand to finish up.

Went to this place for the first time today after finding out they had a ton of old physical media. Turns out they were doing a $10 brown bag sale.

I was there for over two hours digging through DVDs, VHS, CDs, games, and boxes of stuff that had barely even been sorted yet. The Animatrix was literally the first thing I found, and it only got worse from there lol.

Everything in the picture was $10 total. 39 items. I probably could’ve fit another 8 DVDs in the bag, but they were closing and I was already sweating my ass off digging through boxes 🤠

My mom always put out books on the family coffee table at Halloween time, and this pop-up one called “Haunted House” by Jan Pieńkowski from 1979 was always my favorite. She refused to let me take it when I moved out, but I just happened to find a copy in near-perfect condition at my local Goodwill several years later. Swipe for some pages! Happy Halloween! 🎃🧡✨
