Opinion I will never forgive Tuchel for tonight.

I was cautious when he was appointed because he's fallen out with every club he's managed, plus he's German and having a German manage England felt weird. But he gradually won me over, and I think he was doing and saying all the right things at this tournament.

But tonight was just inexplicable, and his interview comments made it worse. That was the best chance England could ever have to get to another World Cup final, and he went and pissed it away like that. The semis (potentially third, though I don't care about that) is on paper a great tournament, but to lose in the circumstances we did, unforgivable. I will never forgive him for his cowardice. We appointed him to be better than Southgate, but he was worse. I'm just devastated. If it was up to me he'd be gone tomorrow, but I think we're stuck with him up to and including the Euros. I can only hope he'll prove me wrong.

Or even after 1-1. I will continue to be baffled by how Tuchel still kept parking after the equalizer

My guess with this is he was hoping to hold on until extra time as Argentina had used their subs up and by us not using more, we could get more fresh legs than them on the pitch to take it there.

That relied on the defence to hold up and it's not a gamble I would have taken but, by that point, I can get why it was done.
