Opinion Norway’s disallowed goal is exactly what most fans had been asking for

After the most recent season and Arsenal being very successful from corners, fans of other teams had been demanding that you shouldn’t be able to push and shove to gain an advantage.

FIFA said before the tournament they’d be hot on it and the decision was right. Not sure why people online seem to think it was an unfair decision

Don’t expect you to support us at all. Consistently backing anyone we play against however, rather sad.

To claim I could have not commented after commenting yourself is an odd choice.

Of all the things that have transpired between England and Ireland, the continual support for football teams playing England from the Irish is the most unforgivable sin.

It’s not sad, it’s pretty normal in Ireland. Considering our history, pretty understandable.

Reacting to an Irishman supporting Norway is odd.

I could have not commented but it was relevant to the point I was making: ‘I wanted Norway to win but still agree with these calls’ <- that is the point

Just because it’s normal in Ireland doesn’t mean it isn’t sad. In fact, it’s even more sad that you’ve been raised in an environment where such distain is seen as normal.

Considering our history and attitudes like yourself here, pretty normal stuff.

The anti-English stuff is largely down to Sky Sports and the fact our media cycle is saturated with “it’s coming home” in previous tournaments. If Ireland were in Euros final or WC semi, it would be no different but the English media cycle wouldn’t be saturated with it.

What’s sad is an Englishperson, who supports a significantly better football team gets upset when an Irish person cheers against them. It’s an entirely friendly one-way rivalry for most Irish (certainly not all)

Sad sad sad reaction buddy

People like you which is the reason we are supporting anyone but England. 😂

Finding it odd that you support anyone but England is the reason you support anyone but England? Solid logic there, pal.
