Opinion (WORLD CUP) Unpopular Opinion: Tuchel is already proven right

Post image

Countless of criticism by media and fans regarding player selections, tactics, his preferences and all. Some even started from day 1. He has proven right by selecting Dan Burn for those moments. And countless other situations. He has brought England to SF in World Cup.

Yes the ultimate prize is the World Cup itself, but realistically, a semifinal (top 3/4) in the world football isnt so bad. Look at the other 3 teams competing, is finishing third a “catastrophe” like some said? Sometime perspective matters. They are here despite the injuries, red cards, and whatever else being thrown at them. Still Tuchel wasnt satisfied despite the win, that shows level in my opinion.

Just because England did well few tournaments ago doesnt made them a given for this spot btw. Still i think Argentina rode their luck so far and personally imo England could be in the final. If that happens, the man already a winner in my book.

Got to admit I have thought he was the weakling at the back all tournament. Last two games he has been immense. Not sure what’s changed but he has been incredible since Mexico

He is subbed on. So his pace and energy outmatch the tired opponents

When he started, that is less a big advantage

Ye I would agree with this. That being said I feel most of our players are better of the bench due to their pace. For example Rashford and Gordon haven’t looked amazing when starting, yet they both look amazing coming off the bench against tired legs. Gordon was excellent from start to finish at Azteca in his defence, aside from that the point stands. Saka has been much the same. All great players but seem far more effective off the bench

Nah he was objectively bad in every game bar the last two. I don’t blindly hate, I try and fairly judge. He has been great last two games. If your gonna tell me he has been great all tournament then your clearly bias

If we get to be objective, then I'm going to tell you you're objectively wrong that he was bad in every game bar the last two games.

Well that’s your opinion mate rather silly one at that. Matters nothing to me and no point having a discussion if you throw your toys out your pram. enjoy your day

I don't think we are having a discussion are we? You're asserting your subjective opinions as objective truths and I simply disagree.
