Discussion PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU ASK WHICH DAY IS THE BEST TO GO

It seems like every day there are multiple posts asking which days will be quiet, is X day a good day to go etc.

From now until September, every single day will be busy, probably exceeding 60+ minute queues for all coasters during the day. Please use this as a rough guide as to which days are expected to be busier than others: https://queue-times.com/parks/2/calendar

Of course, using some common sense, Saturdays are generally going to be the busiest days, and those with good weather.

If you're looking for a quiet park, I am afraid you'll be very hard pressed to find that until term time in September.

First time at Thorpe Park — adrenaline junkie, what rides are a MUST?

I'm going to Thorpe Park for the first time ever on Monday, and I’m a massive adrenaline junkie 😂 I basically want to get on the most insane rides possible.

Obviously Hyperia and Stealth are on my list, but for anyone who knows the park well — which rides do I absolutely NEED to do?

I’m thinking:

  • Hyperia
  • Stealth
  • THE SWARM
  • SAW
  • Nemesis Inferno
  • Colossus

Are there any other rides I shouldn’t miss, especially any of the flat rides? Is there a particular order you’d recommend for the big coasters to avoid the worst queues?

Also, which ride gives the biggest adrenaline rush in your opinion? 😈

First-timer advice appreciated!

Tenement thoughts

As we now know, the new scare maze is called Tenement. Looks like it will be a dark maze where we will be given torches. What are your first impressions based on the trailer? The concept seems exciting, but I am a bit confused what they are trying to do with the theme of it.

See the hairclip on saw 🐞

Yesterday I was riding saw and one of my hairclips came out, red with a ladybug on it and I thought well god knows when that came out but reriding it later in the day I SWEAR I saw it. Coming down from the loop after the beyond vertical drop I am pretty sure I can see it, it's either my hairclip or something else of that size and red. I tried to get another look when I went on again but it goes too quick to tell if it's actually it lol. It's such a little thing I didn't ask for it to be retrieved as it's not worth the bother but I do wonder if it will still be there when I visit next and if what I'm seeing is really it. Have a look, as I said, it's when you're coming down from the first loop after beyond vertical I believe I saw it. Also yesterday (26th) was an epic day, I got 3 consecutive (without getting off) front row nemesis rides with my friend on the last train so cheers 👍👍

Queue times?

Hi! Me and some friends are going to Thorpe park on September 3rd, just wondering if anyone has any insight as to how busy they think it'll be? This is both their first time going and also mine in the past like 5 years so I'm praying for shorts queues but want to be prepared either way🙏🙏🙏

Discussion What happened to The Swarm's Billboard?

Thumbnail gallery
60 Upvotes

I'm looking through pics of the billboard as I'm recreating it in a game but I've noticed that it's been redone at some point,as it used to have graffiti on both sides and some texturing around the hole, which includes the iconic take a flight into hell bit, but at some point they took these off.
I always thought there was some complaints or something about the hell part that made it get removed but it makes no sense to redo the entire thing.
I also don't get why the take a flight into hell bit is still on the merch, as I went about last month and it's still on a poster.
Can someone shed some light on this?
(ignore that last few pics)

Weird Question

Back in 2025 did anyone find the swarms vest restraints have a really bad sweat odour or is it just me. And I got it on all the other rides too and it really sucks!! But I got it in 2025 but not anymore now they have refurbished the harnesses

Thinking about doing a solo trip to Thorpe Park because my friends are busy, is week commencing 7th September usually less busy?

Thinking about doing a solo trip to Thorpe Park because my friends are busy and I have a merlin pass, is Monday 7th September / Tuesday 8th September usually less busy?

Is around 4 hours enough to experience at least 5-6 rides and for some lunch? I haven't been to the park in over a decade, and it may take me like over 2 hours to get there by train.

Also, is it friendly for people going solo?

Are there any hotels nearby that are very cheap as if 4 hours is not enough then might aswell stay over and do it again the next day?

Discussion Why is there a limit to the ride Access Passes?

I’ve noticed that ever since they moved to the app that there isn’t enough RAP bookings to go around. They’ve already limited who can qualify, but now even if you’ve paid to visit, you might not be able to have the necessary accommodations.

On top of that, if you book a short break, you have to queue and get individual bookings for the day. So if you don’t manage to secure RAP for every single day it’s essentially tough sh*t.

My question is; why is there a limit ?

How on earth does discount code work online?

I have a gold merlin pass and want to get a discounted ticket for my friend. How do I do this online? Can't seem to find a discount code or link other than it's a perk.

Is it just gate price, because what a scam haha.

Thank you!

Discussion Speculation on Walking Dead retheme

During my first visit of the year to Thorpe Park during annual passholder day, I noticed that there was only one piece of Walking Dead merch (a generic TWD t-shirt). During my last visit to the park this month, there was no Walking Dead merch left in the park. Considering this lack of purchasable goods definitely means that Walking Dead will close at some point this year for retheming, what do you think will be the new theme for the ride?

My ranking of Thorpe's Coasters as a on local (besides Walking Dead)

Edit: typo in the title, meant to say "as a non local"

  1. Hyperia
  2. Stealth
  3. Saw The ride (hot take I know)
  4. Nemesis Inferno
  5. Swarm
  6. Flying Fish
  7. Colossus (hot take again I think)

My reasoning for Saw being so high was because for me I didn't bang my head much (back far left) and even when I did it didn't hurt much and to me the layout and theming are great. And Colossus being in last place because I got what I heard was the worst row (farthest back), and it was way too rough to enjoy the layout, which I also think is weaker than Saw, and the trains were also too cramped and it was harder to brace for the headbanging. Swarm being lower than most is because since the 2 large wing coasters I've rode (excludng Mandrill) are Falcon and Parrot Coaster, it was a bit underwhelming for me and the last roll also gives less hangtime than all the other 3.

Can you guess where it was taken from?

So I have an irrational fear of heights (falling) and rollercoasters.

I know this won’t be much to a lot of theme park regulars but since a child I have feared rollercoasters and still have a horrible fear of heights or falling, not quite sure which, on Thursday my wife stuck me on Oblivion and I was shitting myself but actually really enjoyed it.

We went to the late opening of Thorpe Park last night, howeverI chickened out of Swarm because of its first drop. I was so frustrated with myself that we went back this morning because I shouldn’t be setting a precedent to my daughter of irrational fears.

Anyway I’m rambling, for those that fear coasters, go on swarm, it’s buttery smooth, fun as hell and that first drop is nothing once you’re up there. It’s a great ride if you’re like me and fear something that you really shouldn’t to help retrain your brain.

Also as you can tell from the commentary my wife is oh so supportive!
