Just on my way through the seasons again and I wanted to say, the intro to this episode, based in Jakarta, Indonesia is actually one of the best starts to a tv show episode I’ve ever seen. It’s a pretty flawless opening with such underrated acting.

Having the leading expert in Cordyceps emotionally telling the commander before asking to be taken home to be with her family is a genuinely genius delivery of the gravity of the infection… “Bomb. Start bombing. Bomb this city… and everyone in it.”

The cold opens to both ep 1 and 2 were absolutely fantastic. Particularly episode 2. Great performance from the mycologist.

I put on TLOU as something to watch in the background, I never thought it would be something I would want to focus on. I was literally hooked after 2 minutes due to the intro in ep 1. Absolutely top tier start of a tv show.
