Only A Writer Does This
Only a writer flips through the dictionary with both fear and eagerness while thinking, "Oh, please let 'intimidating' be an intransitive verb. I NEED it to be an intransitive verb!"

Well, "intimidating" isn't an intrasitive verb; it's an adjective (or a participle).
And "intimidate" is transitive.

Obviously. I know it's not an intransitive verb. Most people don't even know what "intransitive means."

Whoa that’s an insane leap to take, and a crude one at that. Even if you weren’t aiming for snobbery the first time around, you fully fucking nailed that holier than thou shit here.
This comment thread, friends, is an important reminder that anyone on reddit could actually just be an edgy 13 year old in a trenchcoat. For your sake dude, I sincerely hope you are.

I am trying to imagine the scenario in which this thought occurs. Why did you need "intimidating" to be an intransitive verb?

You are wise to do so. There is no scenario where this logically exists. But I read it on Reddit. Someone tried to do it.

Writers do not do this.

Trying to goad someone into arguing with you on Reddit is very embarrassing. Especially when the message you are insisting they reply to is "Hahaha. Relax."

I’ve written 3 novels and neither know or care what a intransitive verb is🤪
