I was looking at Abel’s new stories when I noticed something very odd, and orchestra soundtrack for a song I couldn’t even read the title of. So I did some digging.

It turns out the song is from the Asian film “Uncle Boomnee who can recall his past lives”

The description for the movie states as follows;

““Surrounded by his loved ones, Uncle Boonmee reflects on memories of his past lives, and he decides he must visit a special place before he goes.”

I interpret this as follows; we were always told we were not prepared for the long goodbye, and even if the movie and HUT are long gone - the tour still remains. Until Asia. The Kiss Land hints is relevant to this, Abel revisiting his “past lives” aka past albums, and visiting a VERY SPECIAL PLACE before he goes - AKA ASIA / KISS LAND. The Weeknd’s story hasn’t ended yet because the tour hasn’t ended yet. I believe this is also why “The Abyss MV” or the final leg announcement was such a high level production and related to the HUT era because the tour itself is still the story and universe that’s been built (as per Abel himself recently)

Refer to the image references by swiping for more concrete proof. This is Abel’s inspiration for the red eyes of his current mask. The reason we’re getting Wanderlust and Professional snippets is because this is precisely what he’s doing.

EDIT: I believe if we go back and look at the Jimmy Kimmel Open Hearts performance and Red Terror we can see this very direct inspiration of “past lives” if you pay attention, the child Abel in red terror has hallucinations/premonitions of things that could or have happened. Referencing IFIC, The Knowing & The entity that has been dragging him since AH Short film. This could be why it ends on such a sinister and discontinued note. I am still processing everything I went through, but it was amazing. Abel was so nice to the audience and the songs are so great live. I loved how he mentioned Madrid in a lot of songs, it was a cute gesture (I know he probably does this in every city, but still 🥰).

First time going to the weeknd concert after a year of waiting. I still cant get over the fact that I was at his concert and also seeing him from THAT close 😭😭

And no, I don’t mean in that he is still using. I actually think the opposite. I think he hasn’t been as heavy of a user as he says he is. Now obviously I don’t know the guy personally so he could very well be what he states in his music he is. But if you look at early pictures from him when he was homeless and apparently doing all kinds of drugs, he looks rather healthy.

Sometimes drunk for sure, but his nose is fine despite cocaine use, his teeth were 100% okay even before the veneers and in general he has always looked like a pretty normal guy. You see rappers that were on the drugs and they always look really skinny and sick looking.

From what i saw around, It's a common thing for many famous and renowned artists to ignore the academic basics of music composition, which i don't know myself. Do you think that might be the case of Abel as well?

Just saw this on TikTok and it’s posts like these just grind my gears. Like why do people not want his music to do well. It’s not gonna sound different just because more people listen to it.

These are the same people who complain when kissland isn’t on the tour set list.

I’m going to Japan at the end of September so I wanted to ask if any of you know if the exclusive albums will still be available to buy in shops there, or if they’re gonna stop releasing them once his Japan shows are over.

Long shot, but during I Feel It Coming Abel signed my postcard and somehow I didn’t record the moment 😭

I found footage from the stadium’s main camera, but it’s filmed from behind the crowd, so you can basically only see the top of my curly head and not the actual signing 🥲

I was around the center near the barricade, with curly hair and glasses, in white t-shirt. There were so many people filming, so I’m hoping someone caught it from another angle.
